After such negative and explosive attacks on the Hispanic people as a whole by casting blanket condemnations and linking illegal immigration to just about every ill that has befallen our nation just short of global warming, I seriously doubt the GOP will have much luck in obtaining any Hispanic votes other than those of Cubans. They will sell their mother to keep a Cuban embargo in place despite the fact that such stances hurt their own people and the GOP will glady comply for the sake of 'appearing' to be pro-Hispanic. The attacks were not on illegal immigrants, it was on Hispanics as a whole. In forums such as these, the majority of the hate-filled comments were against Hispanics who are not only illeggal immigrants, but citizens of our nation who, as a part of growth in many of our up and coming societies, have threatened the peace and tranquility of suburbians by reaching out and attempting to obtain a peace of the 'American' pie as well. So, why not try to create animosity and ill will by linking them to illegal immigration. To them, hell, they all look the same. "Just don't tread past my peaceful confines when looking to obtain a SFR in the next D.R. Horton or KB Homes project that happens to come along. I sure don't want my lil' Megan and Josh to mingle with you people. God forbid." So, this courtship, in the end, will end with the groom being bitch slapped in the face before they even enter the church to exchange vows. So, please, by all means, all you conservative cult members, spew your venom this morning. It will only speed up the process for the GOP Bitch Slap.

That is entirely the point and thank you for bringing that out. What is interesting to me as that the LEGAL Hispanic will NOT take a stand against the ILLEGAL invader. In other words, they are condoning the breaking of the law, and are part of the problem.

You must be new to the forum, as history will show that the majority of the venom is aimed at legalized Hispanics and Puerto Ricans (who are U.S. citizens). You are so right. Thank you for expressing what so many of us feel day in and day out, especially here in Central Florida. Even on lines in Walmart I get looks of disdain as if I just leaped over the fence from Mexico. I was born here and have done everythign humanly possihble to raise my kids in an honorable fashion, and yet, I come across so many people who look at me as if I am the one waiting in line for a green card. It's a shame. It really is.

America has an illegal immigration issue along the border of Mexico but what people in the USA often do not realize that number equates to twice that of the next 20 countries by rank combined.

Most immigrants in Florida are not trying to beat the system albeit lies part of the problem. The word IMMIGRATION is a legal process within the United States. An ALIEN is someone visiting America on a VISA or other temporary manner and an ILLEGAL ALIEN is one that over stays that time. The use of the word ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT is incorrect and the very reason legal citizens and those in process get lumped in the same melting pot.

It may be a shame. But, the fact is, mexican culture is sick & twisted. Illegals from south of the border don't have the same moral beliefs as us Ameriacans. They want to transform America into another mexico.- Screw That! We have enough problems keeping our own morons at bay.

Here is the plan our government wants to deploy:
Let everyone in (that's why border patrol is a joke), crash the economy (due to illegals leaching off of the system), and then use the crashing economy as an excuse to form the UNA - United Nations of America, which they will claim has to be done in order to save the country. The Trans Texas Cooridor is a perfect example. As we speak, China is buying port land in southern mexico so that they can bypass US ports and restrictions and use the TTC to ship goods to the US & Canada. It's all going to hell.
Also, it's in the Bible and we can't change it - one world government and then the fall of man. Can't you people see it?

They no more wish to transform America into another mexico any more than Italians, Polish, Russian, or Jewish immigrants tried to make the United States another Italy, Poland, Russia or Israel. What you fear is diversity disguised as an attempt to place the idea in those around you that we are under attack and that is plainly a sentiment that can be laughed at, plan and simple. You inacurately blame the ills of our economy on illegals and glance not once in the direction of irresponsible financial institutions or a legislative branch that dolls out pork barrell projects to everyone and their grandmother or the fact that we have been tied to a war with no end - a war we were led into under false statements. You left out adding criminal behavior to the area. The more illegals the more crime. The Kissimmee area is loaded with crime.

Illegals I agree with and we have no contention on that point. They do add to the crime because they can not get a job assuming they would want one in the first place. The ratio between those that are legal in Florida and those that are not is actually quite low compared to the problem facing the Mexican border states however people entering this country legally, applying for permanent residency then citizenship should not be lumped in that category

I totally agree and I'm not even Hispanic. Many of my friends have such evil statements on these people, none of which ever appear to be well thought out discussions. They just run off the mouth and all I get a sense of is hatred and nothing but. I have spanish people in my community who are citizens and I still hear such talk about them. If you think once employers are passed the resume and head to the interview and there are no reservations about hiring a Hispanic or an African-American, you are living in Fantasia. In my department (and I work for a local County), the interview team knows in advancve who they're hiring even before a single interview is done, just for the sake of 'appearing' inclusive. The system is what it is, and that is why White Trash folk have absolutely no excuse to fuck up when the system is in their favor. That is a fact!
