It is important to look at the candidates.
1. Experience
2. Voting record
3. Philosophy
4. Positions
Obama has worked for 140 days in the Senate.
Look how many times Obama voted, Not Voting, Excused, Absent, or Present!!!
http://www.votesmart.org/voting_category.php...
Obama has changed his positions and has outright lied to the American people on more than one occasion.
He ran on a strong promise that he would not accept private campaign financing, and then when he became the candidate he accepted private financing. This is not a flip-flop, this is an outright deception and a lie! He told his constituents that, "I am a different kind of candidate, I will not accept private campaign financing", and then he did just the opposite! We cannot trust a man who does this!
Then he was outspoken about the surge and how he was against it, then the other day, he gave a speech saying that he supported the surge and that it was a success. Again, another lie!!!!
So his positions are irrelevant, because they will change with the direction of the wind. We can only rely on his past experience (140 days working in the Senate) and his voting record (he voted present more than 200 times!) his only job in the Senate is to vote yes or no on bills, and he votes present over 200 times, he also has voted to raise taxes over and over again.
Obama graduated at the top of his class in HARVARD UNIVERSITY.

Mcain graduated at the bottom of his NAVAL ACADEMY.

Last time I checked his naval academy was not on the list of the top universities in the world....

I've had enough after 8 years of leadership under a bottom of the class graduate. I'll take intelligence over the questionable experience, voting record, philosophy, and positions that McSame seems to change monthly.

Despite Dobson being a best-selling self-help guru famous for advising parents to whip their children with sticks, every mainstream media outlet somehow managed to overlook this fact. Instead, media coverage of Dobson's remarks stripped him of any and all potential controversy with respect to his views on parenting and child beating, describing him instead with the vague and anodyne term 'Evangelical.'
Dobson is a leading voice of sorts amongst some Evangelical Christians. The question the media should be posing to the public is not about his religion, but about his violent views of parenting: Should a man who pushes parents to use pain to train their children have a prominent place in the 2008 presidental election or American politics at all?
.
Oh, and by the way:
.
In the past year Dobson has been taken to task for distorting the research of Dr. Robert Spitzer, professor of psychiatry, Columbia University; Dr. Elizabeth Saewyc, associate professor, school of nursing, University of British Columbia; and Dr. Judith Stacy, professor of sociology, New York University.
See the story here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch...
Better yet, look into his dubious attempt to turn mass murder, rapist and psychopath Ted Bundy into some kind of hero for the anti porn christian movement, Dobson is one sick bastard.

You are full of it. Bush has never advocated hurting children.
Actually he has stood up for all the children who died in 9-11 and those that lost someone that awful day.
Pedophiles are discovered, don't cover it up, like many in the Christian religion have done.???
Pedophiles are not only a Christian problem.
It is an evil problem of mankind.
Have you ever heard of all the teacher scandals or manbla?
Maybe it would be nice if he advocated helping children.

These comments are definetly not factual. If they are please show me truth by proof. I don't agree with slander or any of that. Christians in the 1st century submitted to a much worse gov't than we will probably ever be under. There are Christians around the world who are under very opressive gov'ts and submit to the authorities as ordained by a loving heavenly Father. We have a God who is in control. Yes, bad leaders come and go and His children endure hard times, but He is in control. He was in the beginnng, and He will be there in the end. He uses bad leaders, and bad situations for the good of His children and to bring proud people who think that they do not need God or Jesus to the end of themselves only to find a loving Heavenly Father with arms wide open waiting for us to come to our senses and believe in His Son who endured much more than tight times financially, bogus politicians, and high taxes. He endured being rejected by His own people, false accusations, brutality, and ultimately paying the price for the WORLDS' sin. He had a totally different perspective than this world has. He was interested in saving the World and showing them what God is really like. Not Condemning Obama or McCain or Bush. Read Psalm 46 and Psalm 2 If you want true perspective. I feel for you that you lost your faith in Jesus Christ because of politics. Go to Him and see Him for who He is not what the churches say about candidates or parties. I will be honest I fail to represent the true love of Christ everyday, and pray that I do not damage anyones faith by my actions. I just trust in my Savior to be just that a Savior and to save me and this world from our sins.

<quoted text> My boss where I work told me his pastor said "If you vote Democrat you can't be a Christain"...I could not believe that God is a republicain...what happened to religious freedom...when I went to school (1951 to 1963 our teachers taught America was founded on religious freedom...what happened to us ...most American are christains but there is also, buddhism, hindusim, islam, judaism where is there religious freedom? They pay taxes go in the military work do the same thing that Christains do so why should they have to leave?
The point isn't to tell non christians to leave, it is that if they move to a christian country they should not try to change that country into a muslim country they should adapt.. you know 'when in rome, do as the romans do' But christian countries bend over backwards to accomodate religions only to be trampled on, taken advantage of and blown up. The answer is pluralism not multi-culturalism, that only breeds ghettos.

Just read through the quote again and you can see where Howard is coming from.

New Anarchist;

Most voters are intelligent enough to know that the electorate cannot affect the "Big" issues one way or the other. They can, though, refuse to support the lying thieving self serving crooks, such as McCain, who believe the electorate (some of us who smoke tobacco, and some of us who do not) are only convienent tools to manipulate themselves into office and to keep themselves there.

I really hope he doesn't matter, but he has shown that he has many followers when he's endorsed numerous boycotts against companies.

I'll put an education from the Naval Academy up against a Harvard degree any day. It's a lot harder to get into Annapolis to begin with, and once you're there, it's tougher to graduate from.

I'm not a McCain fan, but when you start insulting the service academies, I feel an impending need to step in. Last I checked, for undergraduate universities, the Naval, Air Force, and Military Academies are right up there with the top universities in the world in terms of competitiveness for entry as well as quality of education.

I believe it was Churchill who pointed out that without rum and sodomy there wouldn't be a Navy, and Churchill was known to be fairly astute.

Now I recognize we're talking different navies, but sodomy is sodomy! I also realize that John McCain was a prisoner for many years and you have to overlook the jailhouse romances (the vietnamese are deucedly attractive for short people,) but that's not to say he and his homosexual lover, dobson, would actually do the dirty in the Lincoln bedroom! I REFUSE to believe such tripe!

Delphinius: I recognize that you would, "put an education from the Naval Academy up against a Harvard degree any day." But that statement assumes you had either one.
