The NRA hasn't gotten where it is today by backing sure losers, so today they've announced an endorsement of John McCain , bypassing their own board member Bob Barr.

1 Not those NRA members like myself that believe in second amendment also believe that our government has the sole responsibility to protect the citizens, enforce & uphold the law. This is not NRA's job. NRA's job is to educate their members about their right to own a firearms responsibly with accountability. |

The NRA's job is to protect our gun rights and get more of them.
They endorsed George Bush and we got the Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, and we got two pro-gun justices in the Supreme Court now (and a few more judges in Federal court). Dick Cheney signed on a brief to the SCOTUS for DC/Heller. Bob Barr isn't going to do anything except take a few conservative votes. Bob Barr is a good person and politician who should be doing whatever he wants to do (if I were him I would work in his State legislature.) He could run for congress and help Ron Paul get our gun rights back (he should do whatever he wants to do too). |

That's Socialist! NOT Muslim! From the "Democratic Socialists of America" archives (1996): New Party Update by Bruce Bentley The Chicago New Party is increasingly becoming a viable political organization that can make a different in Chicago politics. It is crucial for a political organization to have a solid infrastructure and visible results in its political program. The New Party has continued to solidify this base. First, in relation to its infrastructure, the NP's membership has increased since January '95 from 225 to 440. National membership has increased from 5700 in December '95 to 7000. Currently the NP's fiscal balance is $7,000 and receives an average of $450/month is sustainer donations. Secondly, the NP's '96 Political Program has been enormously successful with 3 of 4 endorsed candidates winning electoral primaries. All four candidates attended the NP membership meeting on April 11th to express their gratitude. Danny Davis, winner in the 7th Congressional District, invited NPers to join his Campaign Steering Committee. Patricia Martin, who won the race for Judge in 7th Subcircuit Court, explained that due to the NP she was able to network and get experienced advice from progressives like Davis. Barack Obama, victor in the 13th State Senate District, encouraged NPers to join in his task forces on Voter Education and Voter Registration. The lone loser was Willie Delgado, in the 3rd Illinois House District. Although Delgado received 45% of the vote, he lost by only 800 votes. Delgado commented that it was due to the NP volunteers that he carried the 32nd Ward. Delgado emphasized that he will remain a visible community activist in Humbolt Park. He will conduct four Immigration workshops and encouraged NP activists to get involved. The Chicago NP will hire a second organizer and an intern, preferably Spanish speaking, to work in the 35th Ward. Upcoming events include a 70's Retro Dance Party on Friday, July 12th, and Post Labor Day Picnic on September 7th. http://www.chicagodsa.org/ngarchive/ng47.html... |
PLEASE GO TO THE WEBSITE POSTED ABOVE! Notice that Obama's name is mentioned ONCE: "Barack Obama, victor in the 13th State Senate District, encouraged NPers to join in his task forces on Voter Education and Voter Registration." Yep, a whole lotta NOTHING. Stop bringing a knife to a gunfight. Next irrelevant argument please. |

McCain doesn't have that good of a record on gun rights. But apparently they have chosen to support the lesser of two evils so they will reap what they sow. A little less regulation that the other option while ignoring candidates that would have really helped them like Ron Paul and Chuck Baldwin. Looks like the GOP is yanking their chain too.

I heard 9-11 ties to Iraq war but no Bin Laden. I heard the 411 call when the Republicans ask the Socialist Government to bail out their little money scheme with Corporate CEO. |

Take the patch off your eye. Did you not see that Obama's NP'ers = New Party? Did you not see that the New Party (Chicago) is an extension of the DSA? Did you not see DSA in the web link? DSA = "Democratic Socialist of America" |
Did you see huh huh??? Did you see that Obama IS NOT A MEMBER, NOR HAS HE EVER BEEN A MEMBER. For someone who claims to be so bright, you are the dimmest bulb in the box sometimes. NEXT irrelevant argument please. |

You mean the war that was approved by the US Senate? The one that is starting to conclude now due to the "Surge"? Would those CEO's include Obama's advisers of Jim Johnson (Freddie) and Franklin Raines of (Fannie Mae)? Why did Obama's party leaders such as Barney Frank and Chris Dodd stop legislation over these 2 entities? Do you think it was because Barney Frank's "Spouse/Gay Lover" was a Fannie Mae Executive? Why did Obama, Chris Dodd & Barney Frank receive hundreds of thousands of $ Dollars from these 2 entities? Why did Obama and Chris Dodd get special below market loans when the Senate Ethics forbids such things? Just a few thoughts... |

1 Here's a thought, how about trying some FACT and TRUTH? I know, your candidate can't argue facts and with truth about the economy, the war, healthcare, etc...so it's best to point fingers at OTHERS WHO MEAN NADA. Who cares about Frank, or Dodd, when they run for anything give us a call. LL...I'm gonna give you ONE shot, show me the link to your NON-BIASED, NON-PARTISAN website that proves Raines is an Obama "advisor". We'll be waiting...forever. |
|
Again, PROVE something, ANYTHING with a non-biased, non-partisan source. At this point, why not just cut and paste the daily GOP/Rove e-mail...oh wait, I think you did that already today. |

Your also focusing on one part of his post when there is also Jim Johnson and Obama's special below market loans which are highly unethical? I personally am going to vote third party and do not care for McCain or Obama but we have to look at what they are doing. These people are wanting to lead our country but they have done things and associated with people that would preclude any average person from getting a job even as a freaking janitor in a federal building. |

How could Ron Paul or Baldwin support gun rights if they can't get elected. They endorse the one with the best chance of getting elected. The whole point of it is to help them get elected. Ron Paul is not electable. Paul would support gun rights regardless anyway. |

"You mean the war that was approved by the US Senate? The one that is starting to conclude now due to the "Surge"?" I swear you get more delusional by the day, I've yet to have one person tell my how the "surge" is working, not the bull crap Fox feeds you, but some actual facts. Getting the sh!t back to shoe level and chasing terrorists from one area to another so they can return later is not succeeding. |

And some idiots just get dumber every day. |
