Any Republicans care to explain the following:

http://www.thedailyshow.com/video/index.jhtml...

It's not just McCain who has a problem with Palin. It's the entire GOP, Palin included. And no, bashing the source doesn't un-say anything that has been said (you'll understand what I mean when you click).

Really, so you think McCain is too liberal so you will vote for a liberal (Biden) instead.

Does not compute.

It's funny that a Columbia/Harvard grad can be compared to a "hockey mom/pitbull" as Palin described herself, and come out lacking. Republicans (and I one too) aren't smart enough to run against Obama. Even smart-ass Clinton failed.

Here's some work to assist SomeGuy. Those polls are only conducted among landliners, and more than 13% of the nation is now without a landline. Among those 13%, the demographics are overwhelmingly Democratic.
What about respondents who don't want to appear racist, so they respond in favor of Obama publicly, and vote their conscience privately? Or individuals who actually are racist and don't want to appear so?

why can't republicans admit or at least try to admit that possibly, quite possibly this woman is not the best choice but is the choice and have at it. not one republican has said that they are confused by mccains decision but are for it completely. its like all republicans have these beacons implanted in their brains and are waiting for the transmission from the mother ship. i questioned obamas choice but what is the vice president choice really that important, only if something happens to the president. so to the republicans and democrats who say the country is not ready for a black president, mccain is old and getting older so you better consider this: is the country ready for a woman president?
Why can democrats see Obama for the lying, corrupt, racist, Chicago style politician that he is. You're worried about the republicans vice presidential pick, but not about who is on top of the democratic ticket?

That's precisely the point. The polls are very specific, and exclusive. Not everyone will respond to pollsters, or not in the way one might expect. I was simply posing a question.

With me it's a question of priorities and strengths. I think that Biden is one of the most tenacious leaders that I've ever seen. He strongly believes in American sovereignty; he's not a "citizen of the world". John McCain is so often on the other side of the aisle that I find him to be a bit unpredictable, and liberal. In his interest to move things along, he gives too much in the negotiation; Biden is the superior leader. I have to admit though, when Biden chose to be Obama's running mate I wondered if he was still the guy that I believed him to be; I guess the desire for political power was too much for him.

It comes around full circle doesn't it! O.K. I admit it sometimes Republicans make stupid remarks too.

• Sen. Barack Obama’s (D-Ill.) 2007 rating in the 'citizens against government waste' record was a dismal 10 percent, making his lifetime score 18 percent. The 2008 Congressional Pig Book contained 53 earmarks worth $97.4 million for Sen. Obama, including $1,648,850 for the Shedd Aquarium.
• Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.) received the worst possible rating in 2007 with 0 percent, while his lifetime rating is 22 percent. According to the Pig Book, Sen. Biden had 70 earmarks for a total of $119.7 million in fiscal year 2008, including $246,100 for the Grand Opera House in Wilmington.
• Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) received in 2007 a perfect score of 100 percent and has a lifetime rating of 88, has never requested nor received a single earmark, and has pledged to veto any spending bill that contains any earmarks.

McCain has 169 lobbyists working for him including his campaign manager.

Obama has zero.

McCain is more of the same.

Before the liberal media criticizes Sarah Palin, take a look at Obama's earmark requests! Kind of hypocritical for him to critcize Sarah at a speech today, while his list is mighty long itself!

It's not the earmarks stupid, it's how the money is spent. Every town, and state need federal assistance.

I don't think the real issue here is earmark spending or whether biden or obama have accepted and spent pork. The issue is that she and McCain are severely and blatantly deceitful. As illustrated in this article I would have so much more respect if she just came out and said yes, I did accept and apply for earmarks, but at the time we were dealing with a broken system and had no choice.
