To little to late.

The delayed response is not going to play well with parts of conservative America that already blames the far right fundamentalcases for wrecking the Republican party they once knew and loved.

Others will believe that McCain is abandoning the core values of fundamentalism and all of the butt kissing he had to do to cater to them will be washed out the window for criticising these Bible belt babblers.

This is a lose lose proposition that he just wants to see go away.

"God says in Jeremiah 16:'Behold, I will bring them the Jewish people again unto their land that I gave to their fathers.... Behold, I will send for many fishers, and after will I send for many hunters. And they the hunters shall hunt them.' That would be the Jews.... Then God sent a hunter. A hunter is someone who comes with a gun and he forces you. Hitler was a hunter,"

Wow. Are there really people that believe this sort of garbage?

Not necessarily that Adolf was fulfilling God's will but the need to mount some kind of logical argument from a single bible passage?

I mean, logically if you believe in a Biblical God you HAVE to believe that Adolf was doing God's will because God is the Creator and Sovereign of Everything. Ie. Everything that exists and happens is God's will, because He created it. Seems a bit contradictory to say 'I believe in the Eternal, Omnipotent Creator...but ah..I don't think He was responsible for that bit. That was someone else, coz, uh, God is nice and He wouldn't do that. Even tho he is technically responsible for everything, someone else did that.'

Of course, some people find it really distressing to think that God doesn't actually give a flying f*ck about their personal problems, or indeed 50 million people dying of hideous disease and war. Worse still for some, the idea that God might actually have MEANT to kill 50 million people through war and disease. If that makes you feel bad, just think that there were a group of dangerous, powerful and really sneaky people who would bring about the anti-christ and the only way to make sure they were all stopped was to unleash Hitler on Europe. The 50 million were unfortunately 'collateral damage' to ensure good prevailed. Yes this is a psychotic fundamentalist delusion but entirely internally consistent. No more disprovable or less plausible than God in the first place. Much more plausible and harder to disprove than the notion of a loving, caring, Daddy in the sky who loves every individual specifically and actively listens to basketballers praying to make the foul shot.

Two, two, two evil ministers for one. John McCain courted them. Now he's breaking up with them. Not too obvious.

No flip-flop on Hagee's part. He's a Zionist. And the Zionist thing is that Jews are
"God's chosen people". In the face of the obvious question "How could God possibly allow someone to slaughter 6 million of His people?", it's somehow got to be "God's will" because that is the only way to maintain the belief they are "God' chosen people".

If you listen to his rhetoric, it's kinda scary the way he seems to be almost praying for the "Big One" to break out in the middle east. He is so blinded by his beliefs that he is totally oblivious to the fact that there would be NO WINNERS.

An Israeli Hebrew language newspaper bragged that 1/2 of Democratic campaign contributions and 1/3 of the Republican ones come from the pro-Israel lobby. Bush was bribed to fight a war on behalf of Israel. The United States gives an astounding amount of money in foreign aid to Israel in the form of money, weapons (which Israel sometimes sells to the Chinese) and loan guarantees which Israel has always defaulted on. Jews believe their bible gives them divine right to rule all of the middle east. Through the Zionist lobby, the extraordinary number of Zionists in cabinet and the ownership of the TV media by Zionists, Bush is encouraged to win this territory and eventually let it fall to Israel. According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, Israeli Finance Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he expects an oil pipeline from Iraq to Israel to be reopened in the near future after being closed when Israel became a state in 1948.
In 2005-05 every single senator voted to continue the Iraq war, even the supposedly anti-war senators. A possible explanation for this astounding unanimity is the vindictive Zionist lobby threatening to destroy any senator who stepped out of line.

McCain has open a door for the DNC and independent groups to exploit.

If the GOP decides to use Rev. Wright the DNC or other independent groups will definitely use Pastor Hagee and Pastor Parsley.

This is a definite win for the DNC and Obama.

No. Obama was at Wright's church for 20 years. These endorsements just came this winter. A world of difference.

Haggee preaches the whole word of God, not just the love stories. As it should be. Hagge, and Wright have more backbone than most any other religious figures. I agree 0% with wright, but i can respect him for not hiding and trying to spin everything. And you can't find another person on this planet that knows more about the Bible than haggee.

Its every mans choice to believe what they wish. But when it comes to religion nobody can back what they say up more than guys like Haggee.

Did half of his congregation leave pr mot show up the following Sunday. What kind of a person could sit through that and not get up and leave. By seeking there endorsment do you not except those people and their beliefs as acceptable even if you do not believe them yourself? The other fat guy at Liberty U. said far dumber things about gays bringing destruction to N.O.

MCcain was aware of hagee views prior to the endorsement, he always apologizes after the fact, remember the savings and loan scandal. this is not the only crackpot whose support he solicited.

What about the 20,000 that hang on every word and belief everything he says. Did half fail to show up the following Sunday? Why would you want the endorsement of a screwball?

Pastor Hagee has some cockeyed notions that defy logic. His language is violent and his attitude is extremely harsh. He and Wright are two peas in a pod and should be rejected by their flock, but the sheep want this kind of garbage and the pastors get rich off of it!
