Republican VP candidate says unmarried teen daughter is pregnant

They will be going thrugh the same trouble that we as parents sometimes face, and I hope they are sincere in their wanting to help Bristol. It's easy to sit in judgment, but very difficult to accept that we are all human. I wish them the best.

Looks like Ma and Pa Palin have got their hands full. And McCrypt-keeper has egg all over his face.

Fully vetted? Yeah right! I call bullsh!t on The Cryptkeeper knowing about this 17-year-olds pregnancy prior to selecting Ma Palin. If they knew and were so proud of it, why was there no mention about this pregnancy until now?

When Ma Palin introduced her tundra-trash family to Americans last week, she sure made it a point of pride to mention that her eldest son enlisted in the army on Sept. 11, 2007 and will be deployed to Iraq Sept 11, 2008. Where was her fundie pride about her daughter?

She did not say, "...and this is my 17-year-old daughter who will make me a grandmother very soon!"

McCain had no freakin' idea.

What scares me most is that they were trying to hide it until November. If they are so proud of this now, why wasn't this released before? The only reason it came out now was because the rumors about Palin.

Not a good thing to have someone in the middle of an ethics investigation being caught trying to cover something up.

Exactly how does Palin's daughter being pregnant have anything to do with Governor Palin's ability to serve as VP, or McCain's ability to choose a VP candidate?

Lester asks Palin point blank: "Do you have any idea of what you did, to make Lyda Green dislike you, hate you?" How does Palin respond? Does she do the right thing? What you would expect from a mature leader, a governor and say, "Bob, Lyda doesn't hate me." No, she responds like a 13-year-old and says, "Um, you know once and a while I try to figure that out but I can't figure that out."...

At the end of Lester making fun of Green as a mother, calling her a cancer, twice, and saying she has to go; after calling the senator a b----, making fun of her weight, and accusing Green of being jealous and hateful; after all of that, Lester ends the conversation offering to visit Palin.

How does Palin respond? "I'd be honored to have you."

If this was a democratic or independent candidate for VP the conservative right would have crucified them. The Rush, Hanity conservative right crowd would not have stopped bad mouthing the independent or democratic candidate. They would call this situation a by-product or consequence of liberal thinking. That they the conservative principles would not lead to this type of behavior of conservatives and would would have their VP candidate resign. This is an another example of the conservative movements double face lifestyle principles. Do as I say not as I live. Jesus called these people fake.

Who among us has not made mistakes? The kid getting pregnant show's lack of judgment on her part, how does this reflect upon Gov. Palin and her ability to help run this Country? OK, I know, family values is what some you will jump on. As I said, we all make mistakes, I'm sure that several who post here have had teenage pregnancies in their families. At least the news of the kid's pregnancy came out relatively soon. They could have denied it right up to the end just like "slick Willy" denied having sex with Monica ("I never had sex with that Woman") or several other Women for that matter? How about John Edwards denying that he did not have an affair and possibly fathering that kid?

I know why you’re so harsh on Sarah Palin; a few days ago her announcement blew all the work you had ready to go to blast all the logical male candidates. Then this woman appears and catches you flatfooted and you have to grab at straws to find something to Blog upon.

She said she smoked in "Alaska" when it was legal; she didn't waffle like that pos William Jefferson Clinton and say something stupidly foolish like "I never inhaled"!
