Reading these posts, I have to agree with the pollsters that it seems to be largely uneducated whites who support H. Clinton.

Lets face it, to certain degree all marriages are based connivance. Actually they are usually the most honest and lasting ones. I don’t care what bill did to Monica or what Monica did to bill. What matters is that Bill and Hillary Clinton have served their country in an exemplary and very dignified manner.
Regardless of monica things, Clinton’s are still very dignified, and they look exquisite together. When people share so much in common it usually stems from a deep understanding and solid passion for each other.
Clueless. The Clintons reduced the White House
to a tawdry D.C. hotel with an attendant scandal
in every room. Dignified? That's about the least
appropriate term I've heard. "Exquisite?"
Surely you are joking.

Obviously you haven’t read the things that are posted on this very page by Obama supporters including you. On the other hand you since you adhere to Obama standpoints and choice of words, you wouldn’t recognize the difference any way.

I think the democrats are going to suffer their biggest vote loss because of Osbama.

People don't vote for a internally backstabbing party nor do they vote for someone whom they don't perceive as a true winner. Obama is an upstart despite all of his grass root talks. He will achieve nothing. He rides on his colour. I thought qualifications should be the deciding factors not the colour.

Obama has NOT WON the Most Crucial States. Now West Virginia and Kentucky are going to teach him a good lesson about the working class Americans. He will not be able to win anything without their support. The working class Americans are proud and patriotic people. They are educated enough to differentiate a fake man(Obama) from a true, proud and hard working American woman(Hillary Clinton). From what I hear people in West Virginia don’t like upstart egoists like Obama who looks down on them.

By the way striving to progress is okay, but why should people strive to be elitists????

Every job and every person who works within his capacity is honourable. What give the elitists the right to look down on mothers or fathers whom may have to do the bagging, dishwashing, work in the industries,,,,,,,, in order to feed their families?
Puffff, talk about looking down on hard working people.

I also use the word Rock. But I don't think Obama Rocks. He just does not look the part.

He is just today’s' media made product. If I look at him, I think the change in America is far far away.

I don't believe in Hollow/ Unachievable/ good sounding promises. The gas tax may not be too big of a thing, but at least it is real and achievable.

Hillary’s power is herself. She is one of the smartest women on this planet. Powerhouse politicians are not made by Oprah(as Obama) is. They feel power from within.

Hillary Clinton is a leader type. Obama is NOT. Osbama is a media puppet. The media may just get their way because many voters may consider switching from Hillary to McCain. Rightfully so too.

Who do you choose Osbama and his Unproud wife or War hero McCain?

I am not a republican, but if it comes down to the wire, I would go for McCain. The reason: Presidency is jut not a place for training on the job.

In the Netherlands everybody has access to higher education, If they want and can meet the entrance criteria. I went to college and am currently finishing my masters degree. Education should not be seen as an stepping stone to elitism, but as a way to improve skills and especially learn to be mindful of others. There have been times when I have had to work at a supermarket, as a cleaner, busboy, dishwasher, ranch help in Texas,,,,,. There is nothing wrong with that. I am very proud of those experiences, because they helped me to become aware and respectful of how hard many people have to work in order to earn a living. There is nothing wrong with being a working class. Also the people who try and can't find work deserve respect, compassion and help to get up and stand up on their own feet.

I am a still young father and have a great deal of respect for Hillary Clinton. Mothers and leaders like Hillary Clinton are great role models for today and tomorrow’s generations.

Obama showed and proved his true elitist nature by calling the people in Pennsylvania and Ohio as bitter.

Obama rides on his media submissiveness and his race.

Go Hillary.

Khosrow.. excellent post..

I am an African-American male educated professional who supports Hillary Clinton

A. I respect what the Clintons have done for this country and for blacks in particular. I believe Senator Obama is trading on his race and riding black pride to the nomination.. fine ...but Mrs. Clinton "put in work" for the black vote and we stabbed her in the back... that's not right

B. Obama is smart enough, now isn't his time.. there are too many reasons he can't win and won't win in the general election.. racism is just one of them..

C. when Senator Obama ultimately loses black people lose.. yes we had a black man as the Democratic nominee but every white politician from here on out won't be too worried about courting the black vote.. it's not a loyal reliable voting group... if black wins out over service... just ask the Clintons.. other groups vote along racial lines you say... well so what.. that's their issue.. I'm black and I'm concerned that ultimately black political power will now diminish from this point going forward.. so how is that a good thing? as we can see from this board racism, discrimination, etc. still exist and if those issues are pushed down because of the weakening of black political power then Obama's nomination is a pyrrhic victory at best..

4. The job is too big and too important for us to keep electing neophytes.. didn't we learn from GWB?.. o.k. Obama is smarter but he is weak and I don't think he can stand the heat of this job.. Hillary hits him hard and he's crying about it for a week....

<quoted text>At one time I had nothing against Obama. But since then he has become really arrogant and inconsiderate. Thanks for the "information" but they don’t say much to me. If anything they prove the contrary. I mean now days any kid can cut and paste audiovisual information and then post them on the Internet. The media have become unreliable too, they only want to jump on the next bandwagon that provides them with advertising money, free invitation to white house parties and free ride on the presidential plane to exotic locations.
Media is the least reliable sources.
I think If Bill and Hillary Clinton had done anything illegal they would have long been convicted. They have been scrutinized for years. People should fight for what they believe in.
Win or Lose I consider Hillary Clinton to be a true winner. It is all relative and depends on how you choose to look at it. I believe her much more than any other politician in America today.
Obama is no match for McCain. No wonder many republicans are now voting in democratic primaries in order to stop Hillary from becoming the democratic candidate. Hillary Clinton is the stronger candidate. I think Obama is a blessing in disguise for the republicans. Even I would vote for McCain and not for Obama. Osbama came out of nowhere and hijacked the election based on his colour and Oprah’s money. In the past I watched Oprah incidentally, but I’ll never watch Oprah again.
Your 'reply' says that you DID NOT view the material !!(and I am NOT surprised...at all !!)

That material, as I said, was a documentary. A 'child' could not have access to records, files, and videos of that nature !!

You may feel "safe" posting from 'across the water'.... but don't feel too safe !! If Hillary has her way, the "New World Order" (along with the Bush Dynasty) will be the New Government of the Elite. We will all be under ONE RULE.... microchipped little "Worker Bees" !!

Careful what you wish for....

I want Dennis to explain to me how the Clinton adminbistration benefited Black America, correction, all classes of Black America. You come off like those professional blacks (ministers, funeral home owners, shopkeepers, politicians, etc) from the 1950s who were critical of MLK, Malcolm X, Marcus Garvey threatening their status. The Clinton years may have been good to you, but not the underclasses still mired in poverty.

for michellefromqueens

In Clinton's eight years in office: 366 federal judicial appointments, 104 were women, 23 Hispanic, five Asian American, one American Indian, and 61 African American
unemployment for blacks averaged 14% before Clinton; 10% average during his 8 years in office; 8.6% during is last 4 years in office..
16% of administration jobs during the Clinton years; 13% of senior executive jobs in Clinton administration.....
In Clinton's first term, 47% of those he appointed to the Cabinet were women or people of color, 52% by the end of his second term
... concrete examples... a more open society an acceptance of blacks at the highestlevels of government.. real power.. i.e. Ron Brown..not token power i.e. Clarence Thomas, etc. etc..
Clinton "put in work" for black people... an so did Hillary... and we stabbed them in the back.. for Obama.. just because... his color don't make him a brotha!!.. why is he getting props when he hasn't earned a thing yet?!

to michelle...

Clinton was a good friend to black people... so was Hillary... they were and are political.. they broke bread with black people because that was the way and the key to political power... I have no problem with that.. he has his sista soulja moment... o.k.. I wasn't made at him for that... black people "came up" under Clinton.. not fake positions but real power.. opened doors so other people could be "put on" too... a lot of people want to forget that... and go with Obama.. cool.. he's a brotha.. everyone wants to put him in a position to do well.. but at the expense of stabbing Bill and Hillary in the back?! wow!! Obama has/had plenty of time to build his rep and be President... she would have and could have easily picked him as running mate if he sat this one out... now it's game on... it's turning into a big race thing... and this is America.. and he can't win.. you are on this board...the hate is thick in here.. thick... so what do we gain? nothing... more Republicans in the White House.. instead of her for 8 years and him for 8 years after that..... Democrats and Blacks.. being played by Republicans...... Again!!

In your column "And the rightful winner is", I was appalled by your suggestion, inference or whatever you meant by even mentioning George Wallace and cracker politics in the same breath as Senator Clinton. I am sure you are aware of Senator Clinton's record of working with children, people of color and voter registration, fighting for health care for "all", etc. This country continues to abound in double standards. When B. Obama captures the "African-American" or "black" vote without even having to campaign in those areas, it's still a given that he'll get 80-90% of that vote. And the results of the primaries/caucauses are always broken down in the media and by polling organizations by race, class, gender wealth or lack thereof. Yet, when it's pointed out or mentioned by certain people that Senator Clinton captures a bigger percentage of the working class white vote that somehow evokes racism. So let's clarify this, it's racism (or to even point it out) when she gets the majority of the working class white vote, but when he gets 80-90% of the black vote it's to be expected because black people are supposed to vote for the black candidate in huge numbers? As an African-American woman I am offended by these double standards, and very disappointed in the tone of your column which I used to enjoy reading many years ago.

Obama is not a blessing in disguise for the REpublicans!!! The Republicans secretly supported him all along as they were terrified of running against Hillary!!!! Once the media declared Obama a Rock Star and did everything in their power to raise him up and above, the Republicans sat back, laughed and started planning their next 4 years in the White House. Obama Supporters - you have been duped!!!

I would really like to see a poll taken of blind Americans. They usually see things as they really are because they can't see. I fully believe they would not be hoodwinked by the race card...well, all except maybe Stevie Wonder.

You can mention it all you want. Enjoy it even. Funny how white folks act just like teenagers -- never remember what they do but damn sure remember something done to them.

Enjoy the racism. You wear it well.

Question, if a team runs out to a big lead and survives a late comeback, did that team win or lose?

As for the tricky logic Payne refers to, you don't have to agree with him. just pick up a book, read, learn something. And stop getting mad at Americans (believe it or not, some of our families have been here longer than some others) who exercise their rights to speak out against thimgs they see as wrong with their country. Or have we not earned the right to do that?
