Is it any wonder the voters are calling for ethics legislation?

We really don't need ethics legislation. What we need to do is cut out the cancer in Washington that we call elected officials.

What I read was that he really believes he deserves this. He should not have to pay. He is so arrogant. Now if this was a Republican he would be leading the charge for ethics investigation.

What a 2 face!!!!

So would you be willing to remove all of them, or just the ones you don't like. Like all the Democrats?

I am not convinced they are all so corrupt. You are painting them with a broad brush. So some are corrupt, that doesn't make them all like that. I believe most are good people, but the bad ones are always out front. We should judge them one at a time.
I believe we should punish those who have or are corrupt. Make examples out of them, increase the penalities for such behavior. Treat corrupt politicans so harsh that they would never what to get caught.
Neither party is without sin, but there are those who in both parties that abuse their position. These are the ones we need to get rid of, but they get some amount of protection from their own party, because partisan politics gets in the way of justice.
We need to take the partisanship out of this issue. Democrat or Republican, it doesn't matter to me. A corrupt politican should be punished.

Itec - and other Democrats - have been claiming there are no grounds for Harry Reid to resign. In fact, there are grounds for his resignation and charges of 6 counts of commiting a felony:

Title 18, Section 1001 of the U.S. Code states that a person is guilty of a felony for knowingly and willingly making false or fraudulent statements to any department of the United States Government.

Harry Reid lied in his disclosures - and other reports - by claiming he still owned the property for 6 years after he sold it.

That's only a start.

It sounds confusing as hell, the details of this case. As Republicans say, lets see what the investigation results are. If Mr Reid did something wrong than he should be held accountible. So far I haven't seen anything that says other democrats knew this or was in on it. That's in strack contrast to the Republicans, Abramoff and Foley scandals.

Daily Horoscope for February 13

Scorpio

Resistance from others arises with regard to your efforts. You may strike trouble with in-laws or close associates and there could even be a move against you. Take the time to consult with everyone about what they want and then try to work in with them. If you have any problems with legal people or folk from overseas, tread carefully. Don't let your lifestyle betray your beliefs.
