Get Mitt it pays...

While this guy is not my top choice, I can't argue with his business success. If it's the economy stupid, to quote an old campaign, then this guy may be worthy of a shot. His business success is much greater than the current administrations.

Why would we want a Mormon in the White House? President Obama is at least smart enough to publicly deny his Muslim faith. Romney is upfront about his religion - can't have that.

In many ways, Romney is a symbol of modern capitalism, a Wall Street dice-roller who made his fortune by coldbloodedly gambling on the successes and failures of the companies he bought and sold from afar. Romney's "business" wasn't turning labor into product, it was turning money into money -- and more than a few of his investments were of the scorched-earth variety, buying up companies and cashing out within three to five years, often after closing factories or laying off workers to beef up the bottom line.

The Cohens have benefitted greatly from stimulus money, and sweetheart tax deals to stay I Ohio. If they feel that way about the administration, then give the money back.

Weeks before U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) pushed for the elimination of government-backed loan programs, she and her husband, Marcus, signed documents to finance a $417,000 home loan, which experts told The Washington Post was backed by the very programs Bachmann had aimed to destroy.

Bachmann, along with several other members of Congress, blamed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac for the 2008 financial meltdown. Due to their government-backing, the programs can offer lower interest rates, but those opposed have argued that the programs come at too high a cost to taxpayers.

From reporter Kimberly Kindy of The Washington Post:

… Bachmann has been the most outspoken critic of the loan programs and other government subsidies among Republican presidential candidates. Former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty also has called for dismantling Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Experts who reviewed his mortgage documents said that there was no way to tell whether his home loan from 1994 had government backing.

Bachmann’s mortgage was part of a package of debt that she and her husband, Marcus, assumed to buy their home, public records show. They also have other loans, including a home equity line of credit, a business mortgage and another business loan for their Christian counseling clinics, bringing their liabilities to more than $1 million, according to the most recently available public records.…

Romney will be the nominee because he's the only one of the Republicans that's not nuts. But as bad as Obama is, he can't beat him.

He might be as upfront about as much a daddy was upfront about his birthplace. George Romney was born to American parents in the Mormon colonies in Mexico;Romney was a candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the United States in 1968. I wonder if sonny boy would run for president if he was born in Mexico? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_W._Romney

personally I'm surprised the usual insane clown posse of Anti Obama folks haven't hit this thread yet. In many ways I think Romney makes the best candidate in the Republican field so far. But sadly I think many will reject him because of his MA. healthcare program and his religion.

He is much more a Centrist in many areas than what I see from others in the current field. But I suspect there will be a large campaign against him orchestrated by TEA Party faithful and Norquist clones.

McCain References Tea Party ‘Hobbits’ on Senate Floor
Posted on July 27, 2011 at 7:14pm by Christopher Santarelli Print » Email » You’ll have to watch this to believe it.

In a harsh criticism of House Republicans and think tanks critical of Rep. John Boehner’s plan to raise the debt limit, the 2008 Republican Presidential nominee, who chose Tea Party darling Sarah Palin for VP, said about this about a faction of his own party:

Granted, Sen. McCain was quoting a Wall Street Journal opinion piece this morning when he recited this passage:

“The Republican House that failed to raise the debt ceiling would somehow escape all blame. Then Democrats would have no choice but to pass a balanced-budget amendment and reform entitlements, and the tea-party Hobbits could return to Middle Earth having defeated Mordor.

This is the kind of crack political thinking that turned Sharron Angle and Christine O’Donnell into GOP Senate nominees.”

McCain’s eruption was the product of his frustration with “fellow” conservatives who are still holding out for a balanced budget amendment as part of any compromise on the debt ceiling. McCain accused those pushing for the amendment as “deceiving” America into believing such a thing can pass the Senate:

http://www.john-f-kennedy.net/executiveorder1... On June 4, 1963, a little known attempt was made to strip the Federal Reserve Bank of its power to loan money to the government at interest. On that day President John F. Kennedy signed Executive Order No. 11110 that returned to the U.S. government the power to issue currency, without going through the Federal Reserve. Mr. Kennedy's order gave the Treasury the power "to issue silver certificates against any silver bullion, silver, or standard silver dollars in the Treasury." This meant that for every ounce of silver in the U.S. Treasury's vault, the government could introduce new money into circulation. In all, Kennedy brought nearly $4.3 billion in U.S. notes into circulation. The ramifications of this bill are enormous.

With the stroke of a pen, Mr. Kennedy was on his way to putting the Federal Reserve Bank of New York out of business. If enough of these silver certificats were to come into circulation they would have eliminated the demand for Federal Reserve notes. This is because the silver certificates are backed by silver and the Federal Reserve notes are not backed by anything. Executive Order 11110 could have prevented the national debt from reaching its current level, because it would have given the gevernment the ability to repay its debt without going to the Federal Reserve and being charged interest in order to create the new money. Executive Order 11110 gave the U.S. the ability to create its own money backed by silver.

Nazi Connection to JFK Assassination - by Mae Brussell on Col. Prouty website
This is a story of how key nazis, even as the Wehrmacht was still on the offensive, anticipated military disaster and laid plans to transplant nazism, intact but disguised, in havens in the West. It is the story of how honorable men, and some not so honorable, were so blinded by the Red menace that they fell into lockstep with Nazi designs. It is the story of the Odd Couple Plus One: the mob, the CIA and fanatical exiles, each with its own reason for gunning for Kennedy. It is a story that climaxes in Dallas on November 22, 1963 when John Kennedy was struck down.
And it is a story with an aftermath -- America's slide to the brink of fascism. As William L. Shirer author of The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, put it in speaking of the excesses of the Nixon administration, "We could become the first country to go fascist through free elections."

Dulles may not have invited such a man to his club, but he did the next best thing: he funneled an aggregate of $200 million in CIA funds to the Gehlen Organization.

Former Nazi SS officer Reinhard Gehlen helped his American friends form the CIA, including Allen Dulles the CIA director after William Sullivan. The Dulles brothers were corporate lawyers acting as middlemen between Wall Street and Nazi corporations and the Nazi government, facilitating deals, and arranging corporate shell games to LIE and hide the paper trail from U.S. authorities and the public.

Wall Street had praise for Franco and Mussolini as well. They admired the fascist Croix de feu (Cross of Fire) in France, and exhibited deep hatred for labor solidarity. They hated 'socialism' so bad they wanted to destroy America to eradicate all traces of it. This they called "patriotism". Still do. Ultimately, the goal is to roll back not only Modern Liberalism, but even Enlightenment Liberalism, which includes the Age of Reason supplanting superstition and religion, and the rise of democratic governance.

Prescott Bush was part of that milleau, appointed as managing director of Union Banking Corporation by Averill Harriman (railroad magnate).
Does it bother anyone that two of 'W's and Poppy's and Jeb's closest allies are admitted (nay, bragging) mass murderers. http://www.takeoverworld.info/nazi-history.ht...

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Aries

Take care today Aries, because the emotional landscape in your neighborhood will be full of pitfalls during the coming fortnight, as it has been since the Solar Eclipse on May 20. The more convinced you are that you're right, the harder it will be to navigate your way around forthcoming events. If you feel resentful of someone, perhaps a neighbor or sibling, you need to get your feelings out in the open, rather than burying them deeper, where they'll fester and lead to more problems in the long run.
