I'm sorry that the man is ill, but there are many "average Americans" suffering from such devastating cancers, and they do not have the access to the first-rate medical attention that Kennedy receives, never mind the financial ruin that will befall them, whereas Kennedy has virtually unlimited financial resources, and access to care that is far beyond the reach of you and me.

wow, i bet mary jo is still gasping for breath somewhere...

Indeed. And every damn dime of his medical care, is being paid by the American taxpayers. It’s not touching his enormous family’s wealth -- made by the way, from running illegal liquor by his dad -- whatsoever. Doesn’t that just make your day?! |

I hope the ambulance driver was sober. You wouldn't want the ambulance to run off a bridge or something.

Yes, and he is one of the biggest advocates there is for nationalized health care like Canada has. If he would have been on that same health system that he's pushing for he would probably not be alive today because he would not have gotten the best health care. But like you say, he's got the money to do what he wants. |

Glad that other posters noted the irony of Teddy's healthcare. Who of us could afford to fly to Duke on the taxpayer's dole for cancer treatment? We'd be lucky if we could afford the deductibles to go to MD Anderson. Mary Jo is waiting for you Teddy. |

Tick, tick, tick.... |

Well Hello Mary Jo!

Too bad the liberal piece of crap didn't croak. Oh, well, at least he's not in the Senate to muck anything up.

I understand why some folks feel as they do towards Senator Kennedy. I am praying he will recover and give his heart to Jesus. Religion is deadly and has captured him along with the rest of the Kennedy's. We should remember every person who is saved today was once lost and headed to hell. I spent nearly 33 years lost and had I died I would be looking headed to hell. Praise God for Jesus who provides for us freedom and eternal life. I want everyone born again and so does God. Go Noles, Go McCain/Palin and go USA

While I do not care for Senator Kennedy's politics, he was a great writer of legislation - the Dems could use his knowledge right now (as they have no fr*ggin clue even that a bill goes from the House first, then to the Senate, and then to the President).
I do wish any person dealing with cancer God speed. I have watched family members die so slowly and painfully of this disease, and it is devestating to those who love them to see. I won't lower myself to insult someone, whether I agreed with their politics or not, during this last period of time in their life. I will, however, make an observation about tonight's debate. I think it is absolutely incredible that the candidate who owes his shot at the Whitehouse to Ted Kennedy publically shifting his support from Hillary to him - did not think to open the debate with an acknowledgement that Ted had just been taken to the hospital, and that his thoughts were with him. He left that to the REPUBLICAN to do!!! Albient, John and Ted were friends - but really.... If nothing else, it was a very naive, junior level blunder to leave that door open. It also once again shows that Obama puts Obama first - and doesn't think about anything, or anyone, other than himself. Senator Kennedy - I hope that you go peacefully when the time comes. I may not have agreed with 90 percent of what you said, but I agree with your right to say it. Whatever happened with the young girl drowning, I am sure you will answer to when you meet The Maker. It will now be between God and you. I would like to think that perhaps you have already made that peace with Him, and that hopefully at least some of the long hours you did spend over the years as a civil servant were spent in atonement for that terrible mistake, and not just for self advancement and gratification. Either way, it is an issue for you, your concience and God to work through now. It is time for this Nation to let go. Sigh... I did want to make an observatio |

Teddys first statement when he gets home: Damn it's hot down here!!!

I noticed that too - that Obama didn't given any thought to Kennedy being taken to the hospital. Wow... that should be a big thing for him given how much Kennedy did for his campaign. If it had not been for Kennedy sticking the knife in Hillary's back - Obama would not have beaten her. That WAS the turning point in their primary.
