Web Groups Claim Victory in Bill Defeat
“The fast-paced ability to generate calls; I think that was very key in this defeat”
Online groups took credit Friday for leading the grass-roots opposition against an immigration reform bill, saying they persuaded Americans to flood Congress with hundreds of thousands of phone calls, faxes and ... via StarNewsOnline.com

This is supposed to be: The United States of America!!!
I don't know of any other countries that will kuckle down, & change their laws, for all the foriegners that come into their country "uninvited" and "illegally". The other countries would either, slit your throat, shoot you, hang you ect.... But NO, our "President" just wants to give our country to all of these people, reguardless of what the real "Americans" think!!!??? I do not have anything against these people, but this is America, you chose to come here on your own. If this country isn't the way you like it, or isn't good enough for you, then the door is open for you to leave. These people were NOT asked to come here. And yet here they are, then they complain about everything!!!! If you think that you have it so bad here, then you should go back to where you came from or, to another country & see if you like it there better. |

Great job. No immigration bill.
We can keep things just the way they are. Maybe next year, when there are 14 million illegals to worry about instead of 12 million, the gubmint will do something about it then. Maybe. |

Consider how horrible your life would have to be in order for you to leave everything you know and love behind and hike to another country, not knowing if you would even survive the trip, if you would find a place to sleep, food to eat, a pair of shoes. Really, how bad would your life have to be for you to actually do this? I swear, I don't know exactly when it happened, but empathy seems to have died sometime in the late 20th century. Nobody even pretends to have walked a mile in the other guy's shoes anymore. |
Oh, I'm sorry, I made a comment on the wrong page!!! If you like, you should go to: "Senate Drives a Stake Through Immagration" area. That is the area I thought I was posting my comment at. I just wish these illegals would put this much time & power into making their own countries better, instead of trying to change the U.S.A., to their ways. |

These people are not without a country of their own. They need to go through the revolutions we did in order to make a greater nation. You really don't expect us to just hand over our country to a bunch of illegals do you? Each and everyone has the same opportunity to come here as legals, but as usual, they want the easy way. Empathy died when we could no longer take care of our own families because we were over-taxed and saddled with taking care of the illegals and THEIR families. |

Anyway, it's not only the people from Mexico I am talking about, it's illegals from all over the world, ""India, Iran, Korea, Vietnam ect., just to name a few. |
