How about the fact that Mexican Illegal Aliens infest and drain needed social service resources that should be used for LEGITIMATE UNITED STATES CITIZENS AND LEGITIMATE RESIDENTS?

I say de-criminalize it and let the farmers grow it right alongside their cotton and peanuts. Relieve our legal system of inane victimless "crimes" and focus our attention and resources on much more important problems. More jobs and more tax dollars!

I'm sure our esteemed higher-ups already know this, though... I bet many of them take a toke or two now, anyway... or wish they could.

Now is the time to bring this weed into the economy.

Alcohol -- chemicals....
Prescription drugs -- chemicals...
Marijuana -- completely natural and made by the hand of God!

Thing that we really need to do: legalize and regulate all drugs (whether natural or not), stop trying to put people in prison for deciding to put something into their bodies that someone else doesn't like, make it illegal to discriminate against someone because they do the former, and treat true cases of addiction (most of which come from the widely varying dosages from dealer to dealer on the streets) as a public health issue.

Oh, and to the two who say that "Mexicans are draining our social service resources!"... get a life, get real, and look at the F A C T S! White people take up nearly 75% of the social services stuff in this country.
Blacks are too proud to take it unless it is forced on them with threats of taking their children.
Mexican illegal aliens don't want it because they are worried about the social services people ratting them out to the INS, which in most states they are supposed to do.
It is not Mexican who are 'draining the social services system'. It is white people who are LEGITIMATELY NEEDY and we are just going to have to realize that our 'capitalistic system' has turned into predatory capitalism a LOOOOOOOONG time ago.

If marijuana was legal, this problem wouldn't exist. Pot could be grown under safe, government regulations and taxed.

We need to take investigative efforts to catch the people running these operations. Just taking away the plants hurts them, but will never do any long term progress to curb these growers.

so drug dealers are ruining our national forests with these plantations but the govt. makes it a felony for americans to grow this plant in their own back yards..they have even gone so far as to seize peoples homes for as few as four plants...this is a perfect example of the idiocy of the war on drugs
