After talking to two Democratic relatives, I find that they actually believe this is going to help the economy. And that the economic situation is all Bush's fault, but their savior will make everything wonderful again. Baaaaaaaaaaaa, sheep to slaughter!

Great. 54% of the nation OPPOSES cash for clunkers, and these idiots just p*ssed more of our money down the drain.

Congress, who castigated the car company execs for arriving in private jets, just ordered 3 of them, TO BE USED TO HAULT HEIR SELF SANCTIMONIOUS BUTTS AROUNDS.

They got THEIR automatic 4,900 raises out of your pocket also.

While, you and I, who are tightening OUR belts, struggling to save our homes, losing our jobs, have to go without stuff, but OUR money that WE earned, was just given to OTHER people to buy cars.

Buy Congress THEIR jets, give CONGRESS their AUTOMATIC raises.

Yea, just great.

And the democrats WONDER why the nation is getting angrier and more polarized?

"It's the ECONOMY, STUPID."

It's about OUR wallets, not how much of OUR money you can spend on LAVISH luxury items for yourselves.

These representatives work for US, they're not some royalty, ENTITLED to live the high lifestyle on our dime when we're out here struggling.

Jeeeezuzmercy, these people are really idiotic.

STOP spending OUR money ON YOURSELVES. It isn't YOURS, it's OURS.

Obama is down to a 47.8 approve and 41.8 DISAPPROVE among independents on RCP.

You remember the independents, right?

THEY’RE the ones who got the democrats their majorities and Obama elected.

Congratulations democrats, you’ve managed to completely p*ss them off.

and then Pelosi going on and on about people wearing swastikas.

Show us some PROOF you idiot Pelosi.

At what point do you believe the democrats will figure out that they represent US, and not Pelosi and Obama?

Sarah PALIN has a higher approval rating than Pelosi.

When do you think it will finally dawn on these dems that their voters are going to toss them out as fast as they can?

57% of the nation NOW wants the REPUBLICANS at the table for a bipartisan health care bill.

Think about that for a second. Let that roll around in your head.

That is 57% of the NATION. 59% of independents.

57% is LARGER than the percentage Obama won by.

57% of the NATION is NOW saying "we regret putting the democrats in charge."

Month 8 into democrat majorities, 57% OF THE NATION says "put the republians at the table as a check and balance on the democrat majorities."

That's quite an ugly shocker for the democrats.

The dems may have successfully demonized the republicans, but 57% of the nation NOW thinks the republicans are sure a h*ll of a lot better than the DEMOCRATS ramming their agenda through.

When do you think it will dawn on the idiot democrats that they're in trouble.?

They lost 2 POINTS in 1 MONTH on party affiliation.

The GOP leads in congressional ballot polls. They are trusted on 8 of the 10 major issues facing the nation now, including SS.

At what point do you think the democrats will realize, 2010 is going to make 1994 look like a ripple?

Obama's big pledge about crossing party lines and bringing us all together has only split us further apart. America is a divided country again, even worst than when Bush was in office. Obama's liberal ideas and his out of bounds spending is going to bancrupt this country, if it hasn't already.

This a a joke and real hoax on the American Taxpayer!! Billions being spent for people to purchase a new vehicle they obviously didn't need or they would have already had one. Also it is once again selling ahead...when the 911 attack took place the auto sales came to a screeching halt. The manufactures initiated big rebates and 0 percent financing and consumers did crazy things...like now.
Well, look what happened. People bought too soon and too much. Same with the real estate frenzee--people bought to soon and too much for their budget.
Now the government is paying people to go into debt!
And debt is which cause all the trouble with the economy in the first place. Anytime government screws with the natural process of economic cycles...well watch-out...the crash and burn is coming!!!! This is a joke and a waste of money.
Baloney! People were either too poor or too cheap to buy a new car, and just drove around in crap boxes! Now at least they can buy cars that save fuel, and help the economy!

Only Statists Could Think ‘Cash for Clunkers’ Is a Success

http://newsrealblog.com/2009/08/03/fox-only-s...
Only in Washington, D.C., would the much hyped “Cash for Clunkers” program, which was supposed to run for months but ran out of money in days, be considered a success, Glenn Beck said on his Friday program.(video here)

Politicians are walking on air. Rep. Ed Markey, the Massachusetts Democrat who came up with the idea for the program, proclaimed it to be ”one of the most successful stimulus programs of 2009.” Markey is also leading the charge for another government boondoggle-in-waiting, the potentially catastrophic cap-and-trade system.

Added Beck:

But what really happened here? They had a budget that was supposed to last four months and it lasted just days. So they’re cheering this plan because they gave away free money faster than they anticipated? Great job, guys. Well done. Bravo.

"Cash for Clunkers "

A very apt description of the Obama administration

We give Obama all our cash, and he gives us government clunkers (high unemployment, crushing debt, socialism) in return!

So the relatives are drinking the Kool Aid. Yup, the Dems blame everything on Bush. Remind them that if it weren't for Chris Dodd and Bawney Fwank (both Democrats) and the Democrats in Congress ignoring Republican pleas for monitoring Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae we wouldn't be in the financial mess. And remind them that Cash For Clunkers simply takes money from one taxpayer (that hasn't been collected yet) and gives it to another. So, now that Obama has put us in the largest financial hole of any president, his hole gets deeper compliments of you, me, and your Democratic relatives. What fools!

CNN/Opinion Research has 2/3 of people saying Obama has tried to handle too many issues.

51% of those said Obama’s policies have made things WORSE, only 44% said they have made things better.

The Quinnipiac polls hows 49% DISAPPROVE of the way Obama is handling the economy (only 45% approve), and 52% DISAPPROVE of how he is handling health care.

Independents give him a 53% DISAPPROVAL, and only 41% approval on the economy. The independents are LIVID with Obama and the democrats.

MEN give him a 54% DISAPPROVAL and only 41% approval.

His overall job approval is only 50% among EVERYONE, not just one group or another. 42% DISAPPROVE.

Independents give Obama a 60% DISAPPROVAL on Health care. Only 34% approve. MEN give him a 56% DISAPPROVAL, only 36% approval. WOMEN give him a 49% DISAPPROVAL, only 41% approval.

57% of the nation (59% of the independents) want health care to be BIPARTISAN. Think about that.

57% of the NATION, more than the percentage that Obama won by, want a check and balance on the DEMOCRATS. They’re already saying, 8 months into the democrat majorities “we regret putting the democrats in charge.”

That is a MONSTER wake up call to the democrats, when the nation is saying BRING the REPUBLICANS to the table and LISTEN to them. It says, we don’t trust YOU guys by yourselves.

Do you UNDERSTAND how badly the nation is shifting against Obama and the liberal democrats?

Yet Obama is pledging to ram HC through, if he has to. 57% of the NATION (59% of independents) say it MUST be bipartisan.

Voters NOW disapprove of Democrats 55% to 35%, from 50%- 38%. The DEMOCRATS are also getting hammered hard for their behavior.

The democrats are burning down, and they're just too stupid to realize it.

When the governing class loses the consent of those they govern to BE governed, that is how political parties fall.

Sayyyyyyyyyyy bye bye to the democrats in 2010.

How about a "cash for boats with 2 cycle motors"? I could use a new fishing boat. The new four cycle units are much more efficient and run much cleaner.

How about a "cash for old motorcycles" program? I'm tired of riding an old bike. A new Harley V-Rod in the garage would sure be nice, and Harley needs the business...they employ Americans!

How about a "cash for old snowmobile" program. I could trade the old 2 cycle ones for new four cycle ones...I do prefer Yamaha (sorry Polaris and Arctic Cat).

How about a "cash for a old lawnmowers"? I could use a new Cub Cadet pretty soon.....

Spam, spam, spam, spam

These comment pages are populated by trolling political operatives -- none offer any solution, they only spam tired old rants and they spew failed worn out measures of ideological correctness. I think the American people very tired of these tactics.

How sad that you are so cynical.

1. This has already helped the economy.
2. You can not dispute the mess left by Bush.
3. It has taken, and will still take, drastic measure to pull this country out of the funk it was in this past January.
4. As we roll into 2010 and the economy is again roaring, you will be saying "Thank you, Mr. President".

Definition of spam - indiscriminately send unsolicited, unwanted, irrelevant, or inappropriate messages, especially commercial advertising in mass quantities. Noun: electronic "junk mail".

Here's a few reasons Mr./Ms Clueless. I own two cars and have zero car payments; I don't care to change that. This will hurt the economy, not help it. We've taken billions out of the market that could have been used to actually grow businesses. This is a zero sum game - you have no evidence and neither does President Goodwrench that you have incrementally increased sales. This most likely a situation when these people were going to buy a car in the first, but now they get free money to do from me (you probably don't have a tax liability). This "stimulus" will last only as long the taxpayers keep funding it - think we should fund it perpetually???? The auto makers will gear up for production and if the program stops, who is going to buy the excess inventory - YOU???

I think you are wrong. I think the American people are starting to wake up to what is happening. Reference the town hall meetings where the Congressmen and women are getting their asses handed to them. No, not just old tired out rants, but I sense a new wave of enlightenment.

Oh really??? According to the people who used my money to buy their new car, they were going to purchase one anyway but now are able to use taxpayers money to help them out.
