I hated high school. I admit that. But I did manage to learn things outside of the education system, like how people think and act, what motivates a person (whether teacher or student) to behave in a particular way, and ever once in a while I learned something of interest that I can pursue in later years. Yes, I "put in my time" and graduated and even though I didn't like it, I don't regret it either.
My son hated high school as well...lol But, he graduated and is now in college. All things in their own time. The act of attending high school, whether he liked it or not, taught him self-discipline and a "generic" education which gave him the basics for his own choices for this future.

It was only after arriving in New Jersey in 2002 and then Texas in 2005 that we decided to give them the option to "GED out" and start college a year early.
