There is only one reason for Mary Peters to be out and about at 0300...she's returning from an evening of partying or she's out on assignation...
With that in mind, give her 2 drivers each earning minimum wage and give her a car that gets 40 mpg CITY or let her walk! Matter of fact, ALL governemnt drivers get cut to earn minimum wages and all government vehicles except military and police must get 40 mpg CITY or be surplussed.
Transportation Secretary 24/7? Does she think there is anyone stupid enough to believe that she personally shows up at train wrecks or airplane crashes immediately after the occurence?

Maybe if our politicians had to pay for their own cars and pay for their own fuel they might find a quick way to get gas prices down! Any of them looking for a driver? I certainly could use that salary!!
