There is NO controversy. There is resistance to the EPA adding it's weight to regulating GHG emissions, even though that is it's MANDATE. But denial and the power of the fossil fuel industry has made a 'tempest in a tea pot' about it.

Fact is that we NEED the EPA to prevent the abuses of the past (which we no longer have the excuse of 'ignorance' and 'common practice' about).

The point is really that the whole claim of 'CO2 is vital to life' and 'CO2 is plant food' promoted by Earthling is not so much that it is technically wrong, but that it is IRRELEVANT to the issue of CO2 as a 'thermal pollutant'. Agreed?
