Daniel you do know that your freedoms and liberties have been infringed on long before Obama right? For instance read up on the Patriot Act which was passed during the Bush Administration. You would be amazed at what that piece of legislation allowed the government to do
If you have a problem with the Patriot Act, why don't you have a problem with the federal government taking over the personal information of every citizen with their rush to jam health care "reform" down our throats?
I know know of no one that has been infringed upon via the Patriot Act, except those who choose to establish communications to the areas where our enemies plot.
The Patriot Act will not go away, because Pres Obama does not want to give up the control of being the one that utilizes it to infringe on average citizens rather than the people it was intended for under Pres Bush.
Pres Obama is seizing power and control and you stamp a happy face on it and pretend it isn't happening.

I would say that some of you on here go to church?? I have to ask myself what kind of lie are you living/ Are you edifying man or God. Your edifying man. Who cares what color this man is. Is he qualified? As I see if you believe in the heavenly father and you picture yourself in heaven and not hell I suggest you ask the Lord to help you love all people. Think about that when you go to church on Sunday and say your a Christian and then secretly displaying your hatred for a black man running for governor. I'll pray for you all.

You're not serious?

Because President Obama has not changed any of the terms of the Act in which Bush enacted. Also, when healthcare passes you'll still be "free" and allowed to keep the plan you're obviously satisfied with.

You don't understand the aims of this legislation.
If it is cheaper for an employer to pay a penalty to the federal government than pay for their employees' health insurance, where am I allowed to "keep the plan" I'm "obviously satisfied with?"
This is not to insure people.
It is a power grab.
Again, just stamp a happy face on it, because
He is doing it.

On the Patriot Act, why would Pres Obama end something that can give him more power than he would have without it?
He is going to use it to HIS benefit and know one else.

Funny how you think you know what the President of the United States is going to do...You're a genius (sarcasm)

There is no current mandate on businesses, they will continue to offer insurance as they have. The mandate, if kept, will inspire businesses that currently don't provide healthcare.

You really don't understand the legislation, because the two versions have yet to be meshed and there is no final version.

Funny thing is that you think increased government meddling in the private sector is somehow is going to make things better.
Funny thing is that you think government is the answer to growing an economy.
Funny thing is that you believe that both versions or a meshed version won't grow government.
Funny thing is that you believe President Obama won't "spread the wealth" when that is exactly what he said he would do.
Where and when did he say he wasn't going to "spread the wealth?"
Funny how he or you can't or won't explain how health care "reform" is going to be paid for, how cap and trade is going to be paid for and how bailouts are going to be paid for without raising taxes on everyone, inflation rising, interest rates rising and unemployment getting obscene.
You can't even get Medicare right and you want to spread government inefficiencies through the roof.
(No sarcasm)

What's not funny...is how you and too many others can't fathom how we all benefit from a healthy, productive society.

You're a fool, you're accusing the government of "meddling" in the same private sector that blew up due to its practices and continues to request and/or benefit from the government bailing them out? sorry, can't have it both ways.

You're not wealthy, so I don't get your issue, especially because the "wealth" has always been spread. It's basic, the more you make and essentially spend, the more taxes you pay. Really funny is how we never hear really wealthy folks complaining of.

And maybe you forgot, but we spend $13 Billion every month in Iraq, so when we draw that down and hopefully begin to conclude this "war" will be the time this healthcare legislation is enacted and can potentially be fully funded as promised...without adding to the deficit.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Pisces

Relationships are kind of shaky under this Lunar Cycle and you may even get the distinct impression you're heading for a major showdown with a certain someone. Although this feels like a crisis, don't let panic or desperation push you into decisions you would normally steer clear of. You may think you've reached the end of the road, but this isn't a good reason to go off the deep end and make drastic decisions. Proceed with caution!
