They love to hail FDR as some kind of economic guru who single handedly brought America out of the abyss of the great depression.
They never mention that unemployment was 20% up until WW2.
Great stimulus package if you send nearly every working age male off to war and put older people and women to work in factories.
Maybe Obozo should start a world war.
Hmmmmmm!
What we really need is a good old fashion plague. If Obama hadn't declared the swine flu an emergency, that wasn't really an emergency at the moment, he could easily have taken care of the unemployment problem by allowing the population shrink by 30 to 40%. He could have been a hero as the survivors would have had to buck up and fill all those job vacancies created by the dead. New jobs would have been created also in that you would need people pushing carts down the street each morning crying out "Bring out yer dead. Bring out yer dead..."

With his weakness and ineptitude, and with countries like Russia openly laughing at him, he just might. Unwittingly of course, because he is The Telepromter Stooge.

Private sector employment grew quite nicely under President Bush. Just look at the official Bureau of Labor Statistics site. It fell in 2008, due to the recession, but you will see that from the beginning of W's term (which started with a recession and a stock market crash) to the end, private sector employment grew nicely, even with the recession.
This is where numbers are deceiving. It all looked good under Bush, but we knew for years that our middle class jobs were going overseas and those jobs are not coming back. We knew those tax cuts was borrowed to fuel the economy and we saw the deficits and debt. We also knew we spent a trillion dollars on war, and that money left the country.

In the meantime, we have seen 8% plus growth from China, we saw China build its infrastructure, we saw China buy up raw materials and make contracts for oil. They are looking to the future. We sit here mired in war and a failed ideology. We have seen it for years and this is where we are today.

Oh, and on GM, its a falsehood perpetrated by Obama that GM would have shut down and fired everyone (and the dealers too) under Chapter 11.
Chapter 11 is not liquidation. It reorganizes a companies debts. Obama LIED when he claimed all the GM workers would lose their jobs without a government bailout.
Look at the airlines. Many have been in and out of Chapter 11 many times, and while they reduced headcount, they did not fire everyone.
Obama likes mega-dramatics. He is a drama queen.
(I'm adding Obama the Drama Queen to my list of terms for Zero.)
The problem with an auto company in chapter 11 is that would make people buy cars from other manufactures.

Hmmm. Why would anyone's skin matter, unless they're shooting anything that moves, beating people with railroad ties, dealing drugs, murdering their own (or anyone for that matter), denouncing the concepts of family values, achievement, pride, and honor BY VIRTUE of their actions, in favor of laziness, entitlement, drugs, gangs, abandonment, rape, muggings, murder, random and routine violence, and rampant crime.
On this massive cultural scale....Do German immigrants to this? Do the Irish? The Italians? The Polish? The French? The Spanish? The Portugese? The Belgians? The Scottish? The Austrians? The Norwegians? The Australians? The Japanese? The Koreans? The Chinese? The Indians? And the dozens of other countries' American immigrants?
The answer is NO.
Those peoples built and continue to build this country. Thus endeth the lesson.
Straggle on.
Sure those immigrant population changed what they could, their accents, the color of their hair anything to be accepted and granted equal footing in America. How is it you do not understand how the country was shaped?

Clinging to my gun wrote:
What is interesting about the Afghanistan debate is how the football game is being played. The President has known about Afghanistan at least as long as he campaigned for the job. I have heard about how it was the war of necessity. I heard how we were indiscriminately bombing women and children. I heard how inhumane our bombers and drones are. I even seen him change the rules of engagement to limit the air support
That they were using. Now I here Biden and company wants to use that very tactic that was so inhumane to the left. Our troops are just a political football for these guys. This is why we never heard from them about Iraq until Kerry reported for Duty in 2004. They went along with it for only one reason, to have a ball to play with. Now The President has been cracking jokes at critics who say he has taken on too much and losing focus. He can do two things at a time. Remember he was doing that when he miscalculated the economy and ran his campaign all while ridiculing McCain for returning to Washington.
He sent troops to Afghanistan already to secure the election why does he now not want to do that? He already sent them to secure an election in the first place if you are not going to support the outcome of that election. Is it just because your guy didn’t win? It is not for us to decide the outcome. This is what separates us from the soviets in the Afghani’s eyes.
All that emboldening of the enemy that the left engaged in to tear down Bush is now having its effect. He should have been trying to help us win. Notice he feels it should be kept quiet about rendition now. We don’t see Gen. betray us adds anymore. It is pathetic because most of you know better. The “propaganda war” is really all these guys have. So why spread it for them? They want us all dead. They don’t care about party.
I don’t care how smart you are if you don’t even want to hear from the guys you are replacing you are too arrogant to be Presidential. I can learn from anybody it is only the ones who believe they have all the answers that can’t.
I know Bush made mistakes and I’ll give you he gave a big mess to Obama to handle.
However Obama knew he was running for the Presidency a long time ago. If he did not know that the country had a lot on its table then I guess he was not ready. Every time I hear he or any of them go there it gives me no confidence he was the right Man for the job. Bush with his stupid comments from time to time was more Presidential than the current one has been acting so far.
You guys Know all this. If you don’t then you’re naïve. Obama should have known more about our foreign affairs and put those at the top of his list. The world won’t stop and wait for him to tinker with his domestic legacy.
I learn something new everyday. good job on the report! if it was'nt for our troops intervening with communist war crimes they would'nt have stopped dropping bombs back in world war two and they would still be dropping them on what would of been left of us today

Because Liberal and Progressive are the polar opposites of right wing and fascism. And Hitler.
So, I'm waiting for your next piece of propaganda to debunk. Unless you're going to jump back on the Modern Liberals crapola. That's the kinda of junk those old fascists used to do. You know, first label, then de-humanize and before you know it, Dachau.
Are you really that dense? You want to misdirect to Hitler? It was Hitler that was fascinated by the work done in the U.S. The eugenics movement was international in scope and varied from place to place. In the US programs were backed by Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson beginning in 1899 ten states followed Indiana which began sterilizing the mentally handicapped to ensure the “inferior” did not gain the upper hand. German scientist was impressed by America’s compulsory sterilization, a practice upheld in the Supreme Court in 1927.
In the Soviet Union during the 1920’s, A.S. Serebrovsky, a Marxist proponent of eugenics, thought that central planning would make it possible to breed desirable qualities. He invented the concept of the “gene pool” and suggested that one talented and valuable producer could have up to 1000 children.
That theory was taken up by Hermann J. Muller, an American scientist who moved to the Soviet Union in 1933 A great admirer of Stalin Muller considered the USSR the ideal place to apply eugenics. Stalin rejected him saying eugenics was cut from the same clothe as genetics and Fascism. Muller had to flee and decided not to say anything about it for fear of alienating leftist westerners from his eugenics.

The liberal Progressives are more in line with Lenin and Stalin than Hitler. Sterilization was illegal in Germany until July 14th 1933 when the law for the prevention of offspring with hereditary diseases was enacted. It can be traced verbatim, to the California sterilization act of 1909.

So you can twist this into who supported Hitler but the fact is it was western Progressives that Hitler looked to for how to enact his vision. It is in fact the left that is the party for abortion you know, the party of yes.
What reason could there be for a late term abortion?

Still stuck?

polar opposites? What is the diference between stalin and Hitler',
philosophy? Do you even know

On Dec 7th 1941,America was the 17th most powerful nation in the world.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Aquarius

The emotional atmosphere is quite potent under this Lunar Eclipse, evoking a sense of crisis. The problems you've been experiencing with a certain person lately come to a head during the next fortnight, making you feel that you have to take drastic action or lay down the law. Yet this could make the situation worse than ever, especially if you act from a sense of panic or desperation. Take things gently and don't throw your weight around unless it's absolutely necessary.
