interesting that not only is North Carolina a state with an ant-gay marriage amendment, but it is also very anti-labor union. So naturally the Democrats vote to hold their convention their ad pour millions of dollars into their economy.

Gays want the same rights and duties that go along a civil marriage.

Religions and religious people don't have a monopoly on "Marriage". Here we are talking about a CIVIL institution, not a religious one.

Besides, religion says a lot of bullshit, and if you opened your eyes and ears you'd have to admit that in all those countries were marriage can also be between 2 men or 2 women, the sky hasn't fallen, the straights still do marry (and divorce !) and contribute with their kids to the ruin of this world, that society is not more "perverted" or disturbed there, etc....

You do know that 'marriage' is a religious ritual?
Marriage was started by religions. So yes, religion does have a monopoly on it.
Marriage never existed before religion. So if "religious bullshitters" never existed...marriage would never had existed.
So you are bashing the same institutions that started marriage to begin with.
