yes there is much more work needed on the economy!! the only way to get any meaningful work done by this administration as far as the country is concerned overall is to get rid of all the buffoons working on the problem and hiring british petroleum!! in several months b.p. has made a permanent solution to a problem of equal or higher purpose to our country!! in 2 years the administration has convoluted every situation and solved nothing!!

Christine Romer was a member of NBER ... remember her? she is the one that predicted the "stimulus" would keep unemployment below 8 percent. According to her, she still doesn't understand what happened. Recession ended in June 2009? ROFL ... Must have been when members of the NBER got hefty raises.

How many billions have we already wasted on so called shovel ready BS?? As an example Los Angles was awarded 111 million dollars and produced just 55 jobs out of all that money! YOU DO THE MATH --- if waste like that was country wide it's not hard to see why unemployment is still close to 10% and higher in some areas!!! Only now after 20 months is he turning to small businesses -- if it wasn't for the up coming election he still would be ignoring them... When small businesses look at the new rules for health care and what it may cost them -- they too are sitting out hiring till it's clear what it will cost them-- Most of that health-care bill was written as ''''Yet to be determined''' by the Sec. Of health! You can't plan on costs with a plan like that! Uncertainty of the future --- that old hope and change thing , especially that change garbage is what is holding the economy back ! We already have seen a glimpse of that change and it's not business friendly!! Redistribute the wealth sound familiar? Reworking the American economy into a socialst one while in a recession does not work!

Obama was working Pelosi's agenda,perhaps with a republican majority or regrouping his advisors,he can come up with a feasible plan.Socialism is absolutely not the answer,your correct on that point.Im still studying the healthcare plan, and do not have enough knowledge to make a judgement call either way.My guess is over the long haul its a bomb.The republicans and democrats are responsible for this mess, neither party is exempt.After some in depth observation, I have concluded that , Obama is but one man in the chain of failure.
