Here again I must say - SO WHAT?- I am already sick of the "salesman" attitude of both these "candidates" It suprises me how much money they can spend for this job, and the lies they can come up with to get there.

I agree with Jim. This election has been dragged out way to long. Neither of these men are in my mind qualified to do the job at hand and I worry about what's going to happen after the election. And I believe that Obama is making this a race issue and now with McCain picking a women for his Vp it is going to become a gender issue. Do we need that type of person in office? I think not. We need people who aren't worried about race or gender but to deal with the issues that we as Americans are facing right now. Gas prices, Drilling in Alaska, food prices JOBS, terrorists, and war and I can think of many more issues we are facing. These guys need to know what we as Americans are demanding from them and then figure out a way to fix these problems!

Exactly how is Obama making the election a "race issue"? I have heard him talk about lots of other things than just racial issues.

Again on a personal note, I don't think anyone that is elected will be able to do anything because there are too many evil people in the house and senate that control the issues. Yes I don't like that way it is, yes it can be a lot better, and no I'm not going to move to another country because we are still the best there is bar none. BUT until the idiots are gone from the house and senate and get some level thinking people in there, there isn't much any 1 president can do.

Please explain how Obama is making this a race issue? What are you talking about? Or is it the mere fact that he is bi-racial making it racial for you?

Yeah, what was up with the fire works? Way over the top on showmanship and to little on substance. I hear Obama and Biden saying how the average American is struggling and these are some of the worst times in American history. But, they spend millions putting on show. If times are as bad as they say, a more somber and serious tone would have been appropriate. I don't get it and maybe Mr. Obama is getting to be to much like a rock star. A little restraint should be shown in how he spends the hundreds of millions he has raised from the American people to finance his ego.

I was very moved by his speech. Four years is not nearly enough time to fix this country. All anyone can do is the best that they can your going to spend most of the term cleaning up the mess we are already in. Obama has my vote.

B. Hussein Obama's speech was a vacuous recitation of a tired old liberal laundry list. It is just more of the same from the fool who picked Joe Biden for his running mate. Biden has been part of the problem in the Washington establishment for longer than you have been alive. B. Hussein accuses McCain of being in Washington too long. Well, Biden has been been there far longer. The mess we are in economically has been dumped on us due to the Democrat party's obeisance to the far left environmental wackos who do not want you to reproduce nor do they want you to have cheap energy to live your life comfortably. The mess we are in internationally is a result of the Democrat party's insistence that we kowtow to the UN and make nice with the liberal elites of Europe instead of acting in our own best interests. Our best interests also happen to be very favorable to the rest of the free world. Our problems domestically have their roots in FDR's New Deal and LBJ's Great Society as well as other liberal assaults on American exceptionalism. These programs have subjugated generations of Americans to the yoke of Big Brother and stolen their dignity and freedom. John McCain may not be able to make things better - especially if he is hamstrung with a Democrat Congress. However, B. Hussein Obama will most certainly make things far worse. A vote for B. Hussein Obama is a vote for a lesser standard of living for your children and a miserable life for your grandchildren. Now there is change that you can believe.

An effective sales pitch, but not powerful. Either that, or the standards have been greatly lowered.
