Reid's gutter ball

Aug 4, 2012 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: New York Post

You know things are bad for the Democrats when they have to resort to this: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid accused Mitt Romney of a nearly criminal level of tax evasion - without a shred of evidence.

Lay off the LSD and you won't suffer such hallucinations any more and perhaps you will see just how factually and intellectually bankrupt your posts sound to any sane individual. I refuse to bring myself down to your level with the use of juvenile vulgarity that you use. If you think that makes you look like a man, you are seriously deluded.

Obamacare does not add to our debt.
The health care industry is completely out of control and will grow faster than GDP to become 20% of our economy. This is completely unsustainable and ridiculous.
We pay more per capita than those industrialized nations that cover everyone where we do not. For those huge bucks our health is only middling. We OVERPAY.
Even Aetna is going after a doctor who charged $59K for a 25 minute bedside consult. It is out of control.
A Berkeley study compared the cost of a simple appendectomy in Northern California. They ranged from $1500 to over $180,000 with an average of around $3300. These were doctors doing the surveying and they said there was no reason for the incredible discrepancy.
The health care industry will crush the economy, cause even more than the 60% of bankruptcies it is already involved in and make hiring anyone too risky. Big employers have already moved to make employees bear more of the cost burden and the risk. It is unsustainable even for Fortune 500 companies much less for small businesses the engine of job growth.
ObamaCare is the BIG THING that Obama is going after in his first administration. If he had a Democratic or even cloth coat Republican Congress we might have had the public option or Medicare Part E...for Everyone.
That would actually save 15, 20, 30% of the cost of health care that is swallowed up by denial of care insurance companies and the entire population would see their medical RISK reduced. We would have no medical bankruptcies, people (including customers and employees) would be healthier and companies could hire whomever they needed without regard to their health condition or that of their dependents.
We have NO CHOICE but to drastically fix the health care system and it is not just Medicare and Medicaid but the entire health care fiasco, the disgrace of this country.
ObamaCare and getting out of those stupid Bush wars and going after idiotic tax cuts for corporations and the uber rich are the best things (but no the only things) he has done. People constantly forget the financial meltdown he inherited.
Remember when the Stock Market was dropping hundreds of points a day and Paulson told Congress to give him $700B with no restrictions in order to 'save' the banking industry from collapse? Remember Bush's 850,000/month job losses? Remember Lehmann? Remember AIG FIP threatening to take down AIG insurance and all its counterparties without a $185Billion bailout?
Remember?
People forget so easily how bad things were when Obama came into office because things are pretty calm for most Americans and even the housing market is beginning to recover.
While I do respect your response, I will respectfully reserve the right to disagree. While you did make some points worth further examining, I am less than convinced the numbers will add up according to plan.

Hey junior, if Obama thinks he has my support, he is as delusional as you are. While I am at it, my lack of support for Barry does not equate to an endorsement for Willard.

It is a large and complicated issue but people love their VA (actual socialist medicine) and their Medicare. With the amount that we spend per capita we could have nationalized health care that is the best in the world AND save money from what we spend today.

No person need ever be bankrupted because they get hit by a bus or get cancer, lose their job and lose their health coverage. No business need worry about hiring an older person or someone with preexisting conditions. People could quit their corporate job and go out on their own without worrying about impoverishing their family.

Nationalized health care eliminates all kinds of risk which is a good thing. At any rate, the existing system cannot stand. If Romney/Ryan gets hold of Medicare it is belly up in 2016. The voucher system will not work because it will force the sickest into Medicare as private companies cherry pick the healthy old.

It would be fine if private corporations could make health care work but they cannot. They have tried it for a hundred years and it totally blows. It would be worse if Medicare/Medicaid/VA did not exist since they remove the sickest and the poorest out of the system.

I do appreciatwe your response and your willingness to disagree in a socially accptable manner unlike that bleep bleep blankety blank from Pennsylvania who has been impersonating us on Topix and so far Topix is allowing him to flout its rules for posting with impunity. Perhaps we need to report him each time we see him violate Topix rules.
