Billboards and dog food

I am a Libertarian that is mostly aligned with the right side of the aisle on most issues. You are correct about Republicans doing more harm to their own cause than good. They have a rather crappy track record since they were given power in 94.
Neither party offers an idea to solve the financial problems we face as a nation. All they do is promise more and more spending. It is obvious that the average voter hasn't given much thought about how to pay our debts. I'm going to question the next person that says he loves his kids. The burden we are placing on them can only be described as selfish. Thats right! We are so selfish that we are ruining our own children's future. |

The billboard merely reflects the paucity of moral values within the Republican Party. Since 2001, this nation has been terrorized by the fearmongering that has become the primary plank in the Republican political platform. The billboard clearly illustrates the Cheney-Rove adage - if you can't win cleanly, then go for the gut. For 8 years, this tactic has kept us all in line - seems the GOP is actually the political arm of Al Qaeda.

Since the origin of this Nation, we have been deprived of having the finest minds and the finest ideas by allowing our government to be dominated by one political party or the other. Individuals stand little chance of doing anything worthwhile because all the hours in session and out of session are expended trying to bolster the particular position of the party rather than the people and the Nation. When I hear someone state that they aspire to go into politics, I want to strangle them. We have politics "up to here". What we need is to flush the toilets in every state capitol and our National Capitol to send the "political turds" toward their just watery graves and start anew with electing individuals who desire to only serve their constituents back home and who are free to vote exactly as they themselves and not their "floor leaders" tell them to. Individuals who are not obligated to anyone but their own high integrity and core beliefs in dishing out good and fairness for all and not just their supporters and party bosses.

Change: We have not had an attack on US soil since 9-11. Do we really want this to change??

I remain convinced that while one can perhaps cure ignorance, stupidity such as greatly illustrated by your comment cannot be reversed. If any group of politicians is aiding and encouraging the Islamic fanatics it is most certainly the Democrats. Virtually guaranteeing them of a set date to commence to recapture Iraq and seize all the weapons, ammunitions, airfields, and bunkers and fortifications providing them with a splendid new base to work from is what Obama has promised. McCain never ever said he was planning on having combat troops in Iraq for "a hundred years". His remarks simply stated that we would have an ally in the Mid-East and a "presence" of our support and cooperation for he hoped the next hundred years. His remarks were distorted, and as usual by the major media made to mean something he never intended. We've had a "presence" in every major friendly country for over a hundred years in the form of embassies, exchange programs, financial assistance etc. and Iraq would be no different. Nobody is planning on us having combat soldiers on the ground for the next century. Stop your lies. |

Not disagreeing, just amplifying. http://www.youtube.com/watch... Of course, the question is "Does Iraq want us there for the next 100 years?" |

I thought I'd post a sarcastic remark that it was Bush/Cheney/Rove/Haliburton's fault for the billboard, but some dummy actually believes it. If Democrats were honest (I know, that's metaphysically impossible) they would admit that Iran, Hamas, Al Queada and the short a ho in North Korea want Obama to win. In that context, the billboard is correct. It must stink to be in a party that is closer to Hamas than mainstream America. I'm voting for strength-J. McCain.

We could say that about the Clinton years. "We didn't have an attack on U.S. soil under Bill's administration" Except for the small one at the twin towers.
|
|
And we caught those ******** and there were going to trial. Shrug. The whole US soil thing is a myth anything - the attacks don't occur except for 7 years apart. We aren't done again next year at the earilest. |
|
If Republicans were honest, they'd note that Bush has dealt with the a ho and is having talks with Iran. But it's not appeasement...honest. Cough. |
|
My point is: Who does Hamas want to win? McCain or Obama? Answer the question honestly.(Excuse me, I know that's impossible for you) |
|
No, your point was democrats are dishonest. I dont think that republicans have been that honest the last seven years |
|
It doesnn't matter what the Iraqis want - it's up to the American generals and government to decide that. After all it's THEIR war and the Iraqis should be grateful to the Americans... and they'll get to live happily everafter or so the story goes... |

Fear and hate is what the GOP is good at when it comes to elections. Why do you think they made sure marriage of gay couples was the hot topic in so many states for the 2004 election. If they hadn't gotten all those conservitive gay marriage fearing voters out, bush may not have won his second term.
Both parties are good at Wagging the Dog, GOP is just good at tapping into people's primal fears when doing it. |
|
Huh? Is Hamas hoping for an Obama victory or defeat? That's the question. None of you fellow travellers can answer the question that was asked. You're pathetic. |
|
I'll answer it. I don't the Hamas care that much about which one wins....but to the extent that they do, they probably hold Obama wins (since he's promoted the idea getting out of Iraq). However, I don't think the Hamas are that smart. Getting out of Iraq will free our troops to handle Hamas if we need to. Staying in Iraq will give Hamas a lot of freedom to operate. |
