VOUCHERS are the way to go!!!
Aug 13, 2012 | Posted by: Mr_Bill
Rep. Paul Ryan, chosen this weekend to be Mitt Romney's running mate, responded today to Democrats who say his proposals to balance the budget would jeopardize Medicare for younger Americans by making it a more market-based program. Ryan and Romney are trying to mollify those concerns by pointing to budget reforms enacted in the 1990s by President Clinton and a Republican Congress.

If Medicare does not get fixed, it will be bailed out by the United Nations.

DUH, DUDS just what is Mitt's Plan for Social Security ... the key points are:
Key Elements of Mitt’s Plan (my comments) - Nothing changes for current seniors or those nearing retirement (little immediate cost reduction?) - Medicare is reformed as a premium support system, meaning that existing spending is repackaged as a fixed-amount benefit to each senior that he or she can use to purchase an insurance plan (now it's called medicare part C) - All insurance plans must offer coverage at least comparable to what Medicare provides today (like part C?) - If seniors choose more expensive plans, they will have to pay the difference between the support amount and the premium price; if they choose less expensive plans, they can use any leftover support to pay other medical expenses like co-pays and deductibles (like part C?) -“Traditional” fee-for-service Medicare will be offered by the government as an insurance plan, meaning that seniors can purchase that form of coverage if they prefer it; however, if it costs the government more to provide that service than it costs private plans to offer their versions, then the premiums charged by the government will have to be higher and seniors will have to pay the difference to enroll in the traditional Medicare option (like part C, but C cost Uncle Sam more than A&B) - Lower income seniors will receive more generous support to ensure that they can afford coverage; wealthier seniors will receive less support (from each according to ability to each according to need ... where have you read that?) - Competition among plans to provide high quality service while charging low premiums will hold costs down while also improving the quality of coverage enjoyed by seniors (just like the current system, almost all will require sensiors to go to medicare to get the subsidy, it's a sound business decision) more @... http://www.mittromney.com/issues/medicare Yea, yea it doesn't say much, given what it says the changes may be mostly cosmetic. But then again it is really to vague to mean much.(crap, Romney don't have the guts to get specific, maybe we need to reverse the Republican ticket, at least Ryan has courage to tell you specifics, his plan next) |

that was dumb, this is about medicare not social security. |

If you want to see the difference between Romney's plan and the Ryan-Wyden plan see the pdf at:
budget.house.gov/uploadedfiles/wydenryan.pdf just for grins: http://www.nationalreview.com/agenda/313765/b... Maybe it is time for Mitt to let Ryan do the thinking. |

Your dad, the MORON, asked me to answer you, he wants to make believe you are not his.(Funny thing is, he's right.) Anyhow, go see " The Savage Innocents" an old movie, with Anthony Quinn; for your answer to how Mr Romney will treat our elderly and our sick. |
