Postal Service decides to close Hickory mail processing facility

i thought they were already closed. if i mail a letter to my neighbor, it says greensboro on the envelope.

Mail will soon arrive once per week, everyone e-mails! many pay bills on line. I don't trust that program!!

we get a newspaper that is not on line from our home town which is about 2 hrs away. It is mailed on wed and we now get it the following tues. We did get it the next day.Mailed several bills to charlotte and they arrived late since they now take 5-7 days to get there. So "BLONDE" this is a pain in the a&& for some people. And so are some dumb blonds!

So What Exactly Does This Mean And Is It Already In Effect?...

What does legalized abortion have to do with USPS? I think mail has decreased, but there is definitely still a need for it. The little red flags are always up in our neighborhood, of course most of my neighbors are older so that may be why.

The federal gov is doing it to themselves. Now social security is going to be required to be direct deposit or on a card. That will be that much less mail going through the system. Then they will say we need to increase the price of mailing so, more people will find other ways to do their buisness. so then the PO will lay off more people then complain people aren't using the mail.

This is all coming about because of George Bush, end of story. I live in Rock Barn so this really isn't going to have any effect on me what so ever.

Yes lets' blame this on George to even though we have a dumb a in the office now that has took more campaigning trips on our dime than any other president. I suppose if your spouse leaves you that is his fault to.

Thanks Pete. You are right. I do love 'coons' since they are all fully vested with American citizenship. In fact, I like most of all my countrymen. Maybe you could find a copy of the US Constitution and read the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments to help you understand. You are wrong about my birth. I was born in North Carolina.
