JP Morgan and BofA have nothing to do with Wachovia. Citigroup wanted it for firesale prices, screwing shareholders. Wells Fargo has offered to buy the whole enchilada, without government intervention for 15$ billion. That is the way the system should work.
I stand corrected. I was at a different circus, but speaking about similar clowns.

This one is easy. Don't make any money. They can't tax what you don't make. Make just enough to stay in business and take care of you and yours but, when you file show a big goose egg on the bottom line. If you can’t help but make money, give it to the Red Cross, church, or some other tax deductible charity. Personally, I will burn it before I let them get their hands on it.

Will the Democrats in the other 49 States be so consumed with self loathing, cruelty, and lack of gratitude for the blessings of our citizenship that Obama will be deemed worthy of their families.

California Democrats are tearing our State to shreds in service of the racist chicano anarchists and far fringe freak progressives. It is pathetic.\
Our state Democratic voters have abandoned any concern for their own childrens future. Obama is plenty good enough if you have zero concern for our future.

The Freddie and Fannie contributions were and will be a confirmation of Obama's corruption. It's that simple.
Using that "logic": ALL politicians getting contribution from most major companies and organizations confirms that they are ALL corrupted.

<quoted text>Dont forget the 140 billion extra in Pork. However now the credit market will remain solvent , so now we can borrow our own money back, at a high interest rate of course.
You are just kidding yourself. The equities market place is way overleveraged. 30 to 1 which means on average for every $30 dollars of "artificial value" your stocks have there is only $1 of hard assets as collateral. The marketplace is re-setting back down to a realistic 10 to 1 leverage point that is typical in a HEALTHY SYSTEM. Therefore nothing will stabilize until the DOW is back down around 1/3 of its peak of 14,000. Which is in the 4,000 to 5,000 range. How's that going to impact you and your 401k? Well stupid did you really believe that throwing money in a barrel would make it magically grow??????? There is no free lunch, unless you know how to eat rocks, which is what you are now going to be served.

What in Gods name are you talking about? Did I say anything about a 401k, I,m already comfortably semi retired and young enough to continue working. I am assuming from your Rainman rant that you are for the bailout and the pork that went along with it. So enjoy YOUR bad investments and rant at someone else, I,m doing fine! Eating Rocks? Folks, our representatives in Congress did a very poor job today in standing up for our interests. Instead of doing what they knew was right, they bowed to the interests of the elite on Wall Street and to the strong-arm tactics of the President, Secretary of the Treasury, and the Fed. Reserve Chairman. As such, our reps. need to know there will be a price to pay for such poor performance in representing us - their jobs.
Members of Congress are up for re-election this year. I would strongly suggest that if your rep. voted "yes" on the bailout bill today, and he/she is seeking another term in office, you write them a letter expressing your disappointment and let them know you won't be voting for them in November.
Here's the link on how the Congress voted today on Bill HR1424 - Emergency Economic Stabilization Act 2008:
http://www.congress.org/congressorg/vote.xc/...
And here's the link on how to find/contact your congressman or congresswoman:
http://www.house.gov/
On November 4th, I will certainly not forget what happened today in Washington, and I sincerely hope you won't either.
Also, if you are considering switching to a third party vote for the presidency, may I suggest Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party. Chuck has a strong commitment to your constitutional rights, and vehemently opposed this bailout plan. He also has the backing of Ron Paul and his supporters.

Together, perhaps we can bring about some REAL CHANGE of our own, instead of just hearing about it.
I'm definitely not voting for anyone who voted yes. Now if only the dumbasses who vote will do the same!

Congress has been asleep at the wheel since around 96-97. Now they decide to refinance all of their problems they created and add a bunch more. And who will watch them now. This is the biggest leap toward socialism I have seen and it sets a perfect plate for Obama. Watch the skies. The end is coming soon.
I don't think they've been asleep, I think they have been plotting along the whole time, everyone getting their cut!

You gotta love Pelosi, I quote "we have sent a message to Wall Street that the party is over" end quote.
I don't know you give me $700 billion dollars and the partys just getting started. And now we are going to be asked to give the "great" state of California $10 billion to bail them out.
Why didn't that oddball Pelosi say the same thing to Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac! Why is she in the same party who's head of FM/FM was a democrat. Who's party is over Pelosi, how about your's and your cronies! Where's the retirement Bills, huh?????

"From tiny ACORNs mighty oaks do grow" is the old slogan, from which the revolutionary organization ACORN derives its name. Like so many little hints dropped by the Left, you get a very clear message if you just think about it from their neo-Marxist revolutionary point of view. In the same way, the Sixties Weathermen Underground bombers got their name from a Bob Dylan line, "You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind is blowing." This name was one of Bill Ayers' early literary efforts, you might say. The bombs set in the Sixties by the Weatherman Underground were just a means to an end: Ayers and Dohrn wanted to become famous and earn their Leftist street cred. They didn't care if people died to make it happen. You gotta break some eggs to make that omelet.

Looking back in 1995 Ayers said,

"I am a radical, Leftist, small 'c' communist ...[Laughs] Maybe I'm the last communist who is willing to admit it.... The ethics of Communism still appeal to me. I don't like Lenin as much as the early Marx”

Those are very fine distinctions, Professor. Ayers "was never a Stalinist," he says, but in his lifetime the mass murderers were Mao Zedong and Pol Pot, who also, by some inexplicable coincidence, turned out to be communists. Small c or big, they didn't care. It's like a confirmed white racist saying he was never a Hitlerite. So what? You're still associated with mass murder, with all your "ethics of Communism."
