democrats have only been in control of congress for 2 years and a lot of people expect them to fix overnight what the republicans have screwed up for at least the next 8 to 10 years. or would you want them to rubber stamp all the presidents proposals that would leave our economy in limbo for at least 16 to 20 years. debt left for our children and grandchildren to deal with. that doesn't seem fair for generations to come. i always dream of making my children's future as easy as possible. but, i fear the worst after this president and his administration are done. worst president ever in my opinion.

Wait a second, the Democrats promised to make things better. Pelosi had a "100-Day Plan" that she and her Democratic control Congress failed miserably at.

Now the excuses start. And, of course, its all Bush & Cheney's fault. The Dems didn't have control of Congress, the Republicans did and rubber-stamped anything that Bush wanted.

The President or Vice-President do not and can not introduce legislation. That is why it is called the "Executive Branch"

The laws and what not, come from the Senate and the Congress. Anything related to "Legislation", hence the term "Legislative Branch" of the government.

All the President can do is either approve or veto what ever nonsense comes out of Congress or the Senate. If they feel that he veto'd something and he was wrong, and if two-thirds of them feel the same way, they can over-ride the veto...

Try to accept the fact that both parties have failed the American Citizen. Both have failed miserably and they should all be in the unemployment line with tar and feathers covering them....

'We need to raise the standard of living of our poor, unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long way to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as 'Americans'.'( Read that quote again and again and let it sink in. Lower your retirement, give it to others who have not worked as you have for it.
