Bush is a total failure but is supported by 28% of the american prople and this proves Nancy Pelosi is worse than a total failure because as Speaker of the House only 18% of the American people support her and congress. Look in the mirror Nancy, you protect the war criminal Bush like a long lost love. You voted and support the FISL spy and torture bill. You voted for and supported all the money for the Iraq war that Bush wanted. You voted for and supported deregulation for the financial markets and that will make 12 million homeowners homeless because of the predatory lending practices you voted for. Nancy Pelosi you are the problem because congress is the problem that has bankrupted America and created poverty and homeless prople. You don't even support our veterans because there are 200,000 homeless veterans that will die (you and congress hope) because of the laws you and congress passed. You and the democrats are to blame because you supported Bush. You had the power and you proved to be a total failure because you are a woman in love with Bush the war criminal.

Is her claim so surprising, since she is an arch-liberal from San Francisco?

It is not only GW Bush who has failed...the so-called "conservative revolution" has failed. GW's role in this simply was to push the boundaries to the point that the dumbed-down electorate finally SAW the some of the reality behind lying conservative (fascist) rhetoric.

How nice to finally see the pendulum swing back, away from the rightwing madness...let's hope Reagan, the Bushes, et al., haven't dug us into such a pit we can't crawl out.

That's rich in consideration of the fact that Congress' approval rating dropped to 9%.

Way to go Pelozi!

Not only the White House needs to be cleansed. Those Democrats in Congress who've failed to adequately challenge the "conservative revolution" deserve to be dumped in favor of true progressives.

In any case, the conservative crap is over. Don't be surprised to see Pelosi replaced when Obama is President.

Progressives?

Enter "Fabian socialists"?

"Fabian Socialists" (who advocated socialism by means of gradual political and economic reform instead of by revolution as preferred by the Marxists).

And you are advocating instead the violent revolution of the Marxist-Leninists?

That is beyond irresponsible...it is ludicrous.

Any change in a positive direction would be welcomed, regardless of its impetus.

Me?

Not hardly do I support any move towards Marxism.

I'm no admiror of progressivism, as well.

Change is fine. However, what is being proposed per the progressives is that which will have adverse effects/long term and for which few take into consideration before jumping on the "bandwagon" for the sake of change.

I have no desire to have my country changed into that which it was not created as. America is a Republic not some socialist government. The progressives which to implement that which has been proven to be a failure for other countries.

Few who call themselves progressives know the fundamental tenets of progessivism. And that is the worst of "two evils" per my estimation.

*Adds: and what some deem as "flip flopping" by Obama? If people really knew what he was proposing by way of his radical progressive positioning on policy/issues, he would never be elected.

Change? We will be well on our way towards Marxism/Socialism should he be elected. His wife is quite right in that no one will receive a "free ride".

People really need to place his policies under a microsope and take a good, hard look at what he deems as "change" by way of him being the most extreme left Senator in recent history. His voting record illustrates that all too well.

We'll be "throwing the baby out with the bath water".

You better have a better plan before you challenge the oposition. Many challenger has lost the battle because they challenged someone and their plan wasn't as stong as the ones they challenged.
In other word the Dems can't deliver either. Just look at the job they've done or lack of since they took control.
Has Nancy got the gas prices below $2.61 like she promised? Lies and hollow promises get you elcted, shame keeps you there. Voters are ashamed to kick out the crooks they put in office.

When the hell did the Democrats take control? GW Bush is still President.

Get that corrupt halfwitted oil-money brat out of the White House and maybe something can be accomplished.

The Dimwits have control of the House and Senate, I guess you missed that.
The Pres. can only set policy not pass it, although he can veto. That is what's so funny about a Presidental canidate making all the promises and has so little control over bills passed. Do you not remember all the promises that the Dims made in order to take control of Congress?

I like McCain & I hope he don't think the same as the rest of Republicans who suck up for drilling more domestic oil.
The Republicans believe that producing more domestic oil & use less is the answer to the gas price crisis.President George Bush announced at the state of the Union 3-4 years ago that Americans are addictive to gasoline. Well, just like saying to Americans, here have some more drugs & cocaine but you need to use less. The Republicans thinks that Americans are that stupid or maybe the Republicans is right.
I can't depend on Obama in protecting our great nation. But I'm out of work right now & Democrats is the only one cares about the economy & on how I can put food on my family table & pay my bills.Do I really give a crap about war in Iraq?
