Of course dumocrats want this bum to run for President in 2012. He is no different than Odummy, so there would be no reason to vote for him.

For at least the past several decades, a major problem in American foreign policy has been the tendency (in both Democratic and Republican administrations) to fill important ambassadorships with people who were unable to speak the foreign nation's language and who had little if any understanding of the foreign nation's customs and culture. The main criterion for plum ambassadorial appointments was a record of major financial contributions to the President's party.

Political considerations may or may not have been a factor in the Huntsman appointment, but the fact that he speaks fluent Mandarin and has an adopted Chinese daughter makes the appointment just what the United States needs. The appointment is reminiscent of President Kennedy's appointment of Edwin O. Reischauer as ambassador to Japan in 1961, which is just what America needed at the height of the Cold War.

"Obama's 2008 campaign manager, David Plouffe, said Huntsman is a Republican who 'seems to understand the party has to adjust -- not stubbornly believe that everything is OK and it is the country that has to change'."

What Republican of any stature has said this?

Tibbs ... you're full of it...what lie did Bush tell that is responsible for killing over 4,500 American troops? And before you respond with some DNC talking points, check the definition of "lie".

You should also learn what the meaning of "is" is!

Perhaps a better choice might have been a Democrat who hasn't paid his taxes.

Why? Wasn't Japan a US ally during the "cold War'?

Tibbs....get this ... ALL of the Intelligence agencies around the world BELIEVED that Iraq had WMD's. Saddam's Generals believed they had WMD's.

Bush didn't lie about wmd's. The Democrats have continuously asserted that he did, but they have no probative evidence backing up their claims ...what they have is nothing more than incoherent allegations.

Perhaps you'd do well to research and see if you can find any evidence. Keep in mind that commentary by partisans is not evidence.

That is the most obvious, and correct, answer.

Since, however, this Tibbs person is a liberal, he has to blame it on America or some American politician.

Don't you get it? Liberals want to see America taken down even faster than Al Qaeda does.

The people who killed them. Dah!I do hope people blame Obama at the end of his term. Some americans have been very unfare to Bush. He should have let them all blow us up.Instead he protected all of us by fighting back.Bush did what he thought was best. Obama does not think.Just shows what kind of people we have in this country. We are going down fast especially with this clown as president.
