In some ways Bachman is ok,,, wild makes stupid comments, BUT she speaks up and gives a viewpoint (one which many of us would not agree) however, we sometimes need a rabble rouser to get attention to a point; helps to make people THINK.

If she were to remain as chariperson of the "Teaparty" caucus, then no way should she have a leadership position in the party.

???

Are all caucuses off limits to those in leadership?

IMO, all elections should have more than one option, if nothing else it gives the person elected a sense of how much real support they have.

I have a feeling she might be going for a much higher position. She should because she's a great person and a great leader.

The American people are nothing more than a collection of imbeciles, here we are worrying about Bachmann while the country is falling apart with big problems. Look up the definition of AUTHORITARIAN and if you have the ability to comprehend, you will compare it to what our government has become whereas the citizens work, obey and honor the people that work in government, and if some kind of restructuring revolution doesn't come soon to reduce the size and power of government, IT WILL BE TO LATE.

I'm sad to hear this. We could use someone like Bachmann to be more in the spotlight.

She will do anything to put herself in the spotlight. Too bad she dropped out; I was looking forward to her ridiculous antics exposing her idiocy in a more visible position.

Yes, with her in the spotlight, more people would get to see the phony windbag for who she really is.

To the Bachmann namecallers:

When you sidetrack opponents with name calling and ridicule. This is known as the 'attack the messenger' ploy. You associate opponents with unpopular titles such as 'kooks','right-wing','racists' ,'religious fanatics', and so forth. This makes others shrink from support out of fear of gaining the same label, and YOU get to avoid dealing with issues.

Man up and deal with the issues and stop the name calling.

Only if you think these are American values:

One party rule with no tolerance for dissent: you're with me or you're a communist.

State establishment of religion.

She has successfully moved beyond irrating lefties like me: I get a kick out of her and think you right wing nuts need to get on the:

She never had a chance at any leadership position.

Being the leader of the GOTP caucus means she will be the leader of the far right voices in the House - being too far on either side of the aisle is not where you want true diplomatic politicians to be. Leaders need to know how to compromise, how to be diplomatice and get the message out without attacking the opposition )at least not too much). This is not her. Voal? Yes, but too defiant and rigid in her positions. You are with her or anti-American, a socialist, not Christian (and most of the world isn't)., etc.

Plus, she's bat-guano crazy!

I still think Bachmann is secretly trying to discredit and diminish the political parties entirely by centering on so much vitriol and nonsense. In her perceived craziness, she is bringing down the Republican and Democrat parties. I think this woman is fantastically intelligent and her goal to dismantle the political system itself via her appeal to American stupidity and fear is genius. Perhaps this is the only way we will ever return to a multiple party system -- hence her tongue and cheek reference to the founding fathers. She could care less about the Republican party other than it funnels the most polarized of the citizenry to her side.
