In recent history I'd like to remind people of Newt Gingrich. A reasonable man with a reasonable sense of humor. But lazy liberals in the media were all too willing to take his quotes out of context by failing to disclose that at times there has something called humor involced in his interviews. Until America and more importantly Minnesota gets used to their new, frugile leadership I think a more somber, sober presentation is in order. This is much too great of an opportuunity to squander.

People in this country need some actions taken on health care, but I don't think for a minute this health care bill that was passed is the answer to that. Insurance companies pointed out some years ago that hospital/doctor/prescription expenses were going through the roof and they might have to raise their rates. Well, the insurance companies didn't get any kind of response to that, so they raised their rates - because they had to. Yes, there has been some shady dealings from insurance companies and that has to be addressed too - but I can tell you from my own present personal experience - health care costs are indeed way too high. There is virtually no limit to what hospitals/doctors/clinics charge even if it's for minor ailments. When an individual is deathly ill, they sure don't need the medical field cleaning out their wallets too - and make no mistake - they do clean out your wallet.

"The best thing we could do for families and job creation is to extend the current rates as soon as possible for as long as possible," said Rep. Dave Camp, R-Mich., who is expected to chair the House Ways and Means Committee. The tax cuts have been in place for a decade. Where are the jobs that these tax cuts supposedly create? Meanwhile costing the U.S.$700 million.

Undeniably as evidenced by Tuesday they were not. Equally inescapable, is the results have told Mr. Obama, we do not want your far left change. Period. If Mr. Obama decides to act in a childish, scorned manner and obstuct against the will of the people, everyone, including the MSM will turn on him. He is far too popularity concerned and poll driven to allow that to happen. He is also too weak of a leader and he will rolll over. All but his base has deserted him, his house full of leftist yes men are deserting him and he is left wondering if he makes anyones leg tingle anymore. Look at his face: haggered, hair going gray, fear in his eyes. How fragile is the ego. Toadies and butt kissers and gushing media create it, the same can take it away.

Must be a real dissapointment living life with the level of frustration you have for your fellow American, but the election didn't give Republicans a mandate for one party rule. Unfortunately for republicans, Democrats still hold the most powerful political position. Get over it..........

Given the voter's repudiation of Obama's aggressive agenda I wonder how many democratic legislators, who went along to get along, now wish Limbaugh's "I hope he (the president) fails" had actually happened. If it had they might still be in the congress/senate.

Well there you have it. The Republicans are more interested in the power than the people. They are willing to stall, stop, reverse, gridlock government, in order to do what? Simply waste time until 2012? Here is the biggest myth about the Republicans, they do not reign in spending and they do not shrink government. I say this not to rouse but because with a quick google, a class in political science, or a review of the "books", Republicans have always spent more and increased government. The only difference is the areas in which they do it. Well, it is what it is. I only warn not to be to eager to borrow or invest. Spencer Backus is already in discussion with the banking regulators and suggests the Volcker Act not be enforced. If you don't know what that means, I suggest you do the research.

US to spend $200 million a day on Obama's Mumbai visit Mumbai: The US would be spending a whopping $200 million (Rs. 900 crore approx) per day on President Barack Obama's visit to the city. "The huge amount of around $200 million would be spent on security, stay and other aspects of the Presidential visit," a top official of the Maharashtra Government privy to the arrangements for the high-profile visit said. About 3,000 people including Secret Service agents, US government officials and journalists would accompany the President. Several officials from the White House and US security agencies are already here for the past one week with helicopters, a ship and high-end security instruments. Read more at: http://www.ndtv.com/article/india/us-to-spend... ---------- The entourage will be the biggest ever in terms of logistics and manpower for any US president. The president himself will be ferried around in a black Cadillac - dubbed ‘Barack Mobile’- which has its own built in communications centre - to enable Obama to be in touch with the White House, US vice president and the US strategic command 3000 people divided by 40 aircraft averages 75 per plane. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/art...

Meanwhile costing the U.S.$700 million. If the government is not entitled to take these taxes from you, it sure as hell isn't costing them. These taxes will never go toward the deficit. The government will simply spend it on something else and still need more money. With all of the hidden taxes, sales taxes, etc., the government gets way over half of our income as it is. No amount of money is ever enough for those in government. It's time to say NO!

Got news for you. If Obama doesn't appropriately cooperate with what the people want, he - as well as his administration if going to be out on their ears by 2012. The Republicans knows full well the people (and that's us) do not want the agenda that has been forced down our throats for the last two years. Not only that, jobs are being held hostage by this agenda for the last two years. People want to get back to work and nothing's going to stop that. If it takes gridlock against the democrats, so be it. The people who voted republicans back into office will understand. I'm sure if there is no cooperation from Obama's administration, you can be sure the Republicans will make it quite obvious that it not them who are not cooperating.

Both elected parties are guilty of defecit spending, I can remember when it was referred to as pork, now its ear marks. When the economy failed the first response from the republicans was to bail out wall street,AIG, BANK of AMERICA,CITI BANK, MERRILL LYNCH you name it. They were absent from power, now back they intend to grease the rich with 16.6 per cent tax. Next they want to repeal helth care, a republican plan, Govenor Mitt Romney of Mass. is using in his state. These new found tea party elected officials should wear logos of the companies they represent instead of the people.
