However, we could work at improving their idea and making it work better for us. Just an idea. I don't think ANYTHING under government control is a good idea. The best thing that could happen is for our health care system to be deregulated and let a free market system prevail. Costs would go down and quality would rise. That being said, our elderly and indigent would need some sort of aid, but again, that aid would decrease due to falling costs and the quality of their care would rise accordingly. Hence, taxpayers would cover a lesser amount. Aid of any kind to illegals must stop and any social services should be directed to legal citizens, with stipulations that those who are able must continue their education and/or seek gainful employment.

truth really hurts wrote: <quoted text> I thank an illegal immigrant every day for the work that they do to afford Americans the kind of lifestyle to which we are accustomed. I regret that these hard working people are treated as criminals in this country. I am actively lobbying congress for comprehensive immigration reform. You should be doing so as well. Before illegal alien workers became so popular Americans were still enjoying a comfortable lifestyle. The only people who benefit from cheap illegal labor are the employers. I refuse to believe the savings are passed on to the consumer. Illegal laborers are a tax burden. For every so called benefit we get from a illegal laborer, I can give 3 negatives. How fair is it that African Americans are being squeezed out of the neighberhoods they have lived in for decades in Calif by swarms of 3rd world illegal peasents from Latin America. As long as a Hispanic is benefiting at the expense of someone else you are all for it.

Country of citizenship:• For 2004, the majority of incarcerated criminal aliens were identified as citizens of Mexico. http://www.gao.gov/new.items/d05337r.pdf Maybe the Laredo Mexiscum Mafia has gotten to this Congressmans pocket about the savings? Do you honestly think home builders cut anyone any price slack on sales back in 2005? heh http://www.gao.gov/new.items/d05337r.pdf

Incase you don't know what a statistic is, let me define it for you: "A statistic (singular) is the result of applying a function (statistical algorithm) to a set of data." You would think that I am threatened by your bigot remark but I am not. In addition, you are so uninformed since McAllen IS NOT the border town to Reynosa! It would probably help if you knew your geography. BTW, if I was an uneducated man and non-citizen, I would be threatened by your comments, unfortunately and Thank God, I am educated and a citizen. I lived at Pecan and 29TH. McAllen is MOJADO.

I mean, why would he want his brother to be the sheriff in Laredo?! People like him give politicians and Latinos a bad image.

I think you all should get over the finger pointing, dont blame the mexicans for comming over. I would blame the goverment, they know how to stop this but yet they act like there is no way they can do it. they dont stop it for a reason, and that reason is mainly cheaper labor, lower food cost, and overall having someone to do the dirty work. I dislike the racial remarks about the congressman, he like every MEXICAN AMERICAN pays taxes and he is not less of an american because of the last name. GET OVER IT PEOPLE!
