RIGHT ON!
And none of them pay Federal Income Taxes?? Deport! |
I agree! PR does not pay federal taxes! They should not receive any tax rebates!
nor should the USA be sending them the enormous amounts of money that we currectly do! These monies are often stolen by corrupt polititians and government employees and misused. For the record I was born in PR! |

Ms. Brown-Waite's lack of knowledge is appalling! Shame on her. And, shame on those who vote for such ignoramuses. GET AN EDUCATION!(the best way to do that is to not go to Florida's "bottom of the barrel" schools.)
Funny how nobody mentions the people in the mainland who will get the refund checks even though they don't pay federal taxes (it's in the article, read it again if you missed it) I think if you don't pay federal taxes, then you shouldn't get a check, regardless of where you're located.
As far as Ms. Brown-Waite's comments, she really is a moron. It's a shame how she can hold any kind of office in this great country and not know who's considered a citizen. Nice job, lady! And to Butch, Puerto Ricans are citizens of the US. Where are you going to deport them to? Hmmm.... |
You go girl.
You hit the nail on the head. If you don't pay in you get nothing. |
Such ashame how much ignorance remains in today's age. In reality the only part that bothered me was that she said we are foreigners. Yeah, make me feel great that all of my family served in the military at one point or another and I am also going to join after I complete my bachelor's degree. Agian it would not have bothered me so much if she would have simply stated that those who do not pay federal taxes should not get a refund, if Puerto Ricans where to get the refund would you consider even for a minute that they might travel stateside and spend 10x's that on goods and services here thus "stimulating the economy"? And all the above applies to my friends in Guam also.

Deport who? Americans citizens. This is typical of the igorance of so called " True Americans" who don't know their own history, let alone world history. In order to have an intelligent debate, all parties need to have some intelligence! |
Have you ever asked an "A True American" who the first five presidents of this country where, or to recite the preamble? And get a blank stare or Carter, Reagan, Bush Sr., Clinton, and George W. Bush! What disrespect you supposed “Americans” give to yourselves and the VETERANS that serve this country. Your disrespect in my opinion equals that of a despicable that spits on the Veteran Memorial in D.C. which what you are basically doing with your ignorant comments. Sad how many backwards and ignorant the American people are getting. And this applies to the citizens on both sides of the ocean, but for some reason I expected more from the mainlanders. People need to go back to school and get a true education and open their minds on both sides.

Ignoramum Maximus... you must be from the CongressWoman's 5th District too? The ignorance must be thick there; or just catching? |
AMEN! I guess I'm reading most of these for the amusement of it... and, like you, I feel like it'll be a waste of precious energy to "have a battle of wits with an unarmed person"... I guess like some things in the world that requires "consideration" we just need to "CONSIDER THE SOURCE"... and have piti and tolerance for the Ignorant..

``if you don't pay taxes, you don't get a refund``
But Puerto Ricans are paying a blood tax in Iraq as they have done in every war since 1898. That's a lot more than Republican corporate fat cats who profit from wars and laugh all the way to the bank as poor Americans die. |
Poor americans may day in Irak, however if they had gone to college with ROTC and became officers, the % of returning in a metal box will be about 10%. |
First of all I don't need your hand out's. Secondly the only people I don't like are ignorants like yourself. I have lived here in the United States for over 20 years and until moving to Florida have never had a problem with how I represent my flag or who I am, both PUERTO RICAN and AMERICAN! Lastly, I am sure that you have not served this country as I have and all of my family's generations, so I represent both of my flags where ever and how ever I damn well please. I will also offer you a free college education if you promise to major in American and World History. ;) |
You can't deport Puertoricans! Definitely there needs to be a history refresher course. Make sure that Ginny and you are the first to sign up.

The Republicians are the ONLY ones that that have have any morality, pride in and love of this country, and notjoined the ranks of the debased "Hollywood" crowd that thinks they know about politics when most haven't even a high school eduction. The Republicians believe in the work and education ethic by which you can accomplish anything if you get of your butt and the taxpayers butt!--- I am a 22 year veteran of the Air Force, so don't tell me about spilling "Peuryto Rician blood in IraQ. They were NEVER drafted, and were well paid along with the housing, medical, ins., etc. Very well compensated, I might add.--- and then you all send it "back" to "your HOME.!No matter how long you are here- Puerto is your "HOME"! |
Your lies will not get the little truth you may have put here not to fly at all, so STFU. Bush will soon be done and gone. |

Yall still fighting about this topic and both the House and Senate already passed the legislation, much to your chagrin.
Only the retard of Mrs. Brown had an issue with Americans in Puerto Rico getting the rebates.(and many other followers) First she said Puerto Ricans are foreign. Her spokesman said her childish rant was fine as it was. Now, she says they are "territorial" citizens after feeling the heat. Hey, Mrs. Brown-Waite-Ignoramus, while you are at it trying to determine what Puerto Ricans are, let me suggest a couple of ideas. How about "semi" or "quasi" or "almost-there" American citizens. I guess we know what you mean... The point is EVERY AMERICAN including the ones in Puerto Rico will get this regardless of whether they paid taxes or not. That was the language of the bill since its inception and that's how President Bush is going to sign it. Please!! Get over it! Mrs. Where-in-the-World-is-Carmen-S an-Diego Brown-Waite will go down history as an ignorant fool. Please leave the poor senile woman alone. Hammering her down to a pulp because of her own stupidity will convert her into a martyr in the eyes of the rest of the Ignoramus Clan. |

This is funny. You're a moron, but a funny one. Oh and if you're not flying a plane then the Air Force is for girls. |
Butch, You're right they shouldn't send the money, they really need it here in the US to try and educate morons like you. First Puerto Rico is a Commonwealth of the United States and Puerto Ricans are "American Citizens" from the day they are born. Sorry to screw up your deportation strategy. |
