equivalent of our 5th grade. NEA strikes again. Ever wonder why the NEA goes ballistic whenever it is proposed that their members take a basic literacy test?

What happened with the South Chicago school system and the 500 million Obama had to improve it? It was worse after that? Obama's answer: we didn't have enought money. Obama is dangerously incompetent, dangerously egotistical, dangerously arrogant. Can this boob do anything right? He is the kiss of death to everything. Thanks to all you morons who fell for the MSM idolitry and the tingly feeling speeches. The most inept ship of fools in the history of our country.

Everybody going to college? We can't even get 1/3 or more of them graduated from high school now in many districts.

And most who enter college find that college is not to their liking or interest.

That's the problem you get when you have PhD's designing programs for education. They don't know anybody without a PhD so they assume it must be right for everybody.

We now have so many diverse students in Saint Cloud who do not speak our language that it has become a huge problem in our schools. It is very had to try to teach when you are unable to communicate with your students. They have turned our town/schools into a ghetto because they could care less whether they follow any of our rules or speak English. They are demanding, ungrateful and animalistic.

People and the politicians get it that education drives standard of living. Yep, jobs of the future, national competitiveness and all that. Obama has even laid out a national goal for a share of population to have graduated college in the future. It's all great and all dead on correct.

But what about immigration? How do the people that understand the roots of standard of living spin around and support mass immigration of people without educations and without skills? It makes no difference if we generate the high school drop-outs in our own system or if we import them. So, if we're going to leave the border open, the education reforms are meaningless. The left hand will be undoing everything we achieve with the right one.

If the border stays open, here's a cheaper reform. Convince our high school drop-outs to board a flight and drop-out in Mexico. Then come back. This way, a would be social problem will be converted to something fantastic. That's about the sense in worrying about education in the U.S. but not caring at all about what we import.
