Now as far as the effectiveness of sanctions one only has to look at the North Korean foreign policy disaster to know Obama is blowing smoke.

This demonstration of lack of leadership on Obama's part will embolden Iran and may bring confrontation closer then ever.

Iran is a dictatorship, they will ride out sanctions and buy time to build defenses making a possible attack larger and more costly then a quick strike.

Unfortunately, the war with Iran had already started during the Carter years. Iran's threats to
destroy Israel and their possession of a nuclear weapon is frightening, and Saudi Arabia
