Not surprised Mr. Bill posted this lie. Connie Mack does not think the Ryan budget plan is a joke, he supports the plan but thinks the process is a joke where the house will do something responsible to address public debt but the Senate will ignore it. Also what is not a joke is that the Republicans have an actual plan to balance the budget in 10 years and the democrats don't plan to balance it at all except in their speeches.

NBo, he called it a joke; but would have voted for it anyway.(Political pressure from the tea party, I must presume.) When caught Mr. Mack altered his story. I was surprised myself.

The basic premise of the Ryan budget is "don't feed the animals" By the way, we are all animals.

I was surprised myself. The context of his conversation was that of explaining why he was not present for the vote. It is a joke to think that the bill was part of a serious process because the Senate will give it no consideration what so ever and he felt his time would be better spent campaigning for a position in the senate where he could help make it not a joke. Did you not notice the article you posted, the herold said, "Connie Mack called the budget plan, drafted by fellow Rep. Paul Ryan, a "joke" during a weekend Orlando Tea Party forum." Did younot notice the only word they put in quotations was "joke". You see people who want to trick stupied people into believeing someting other than the truth will do that, remove the context and furnish the one they like people to believe. The truth is that Mack thinks it would have been a joke to cancel his plans to attend a vote which he knows would go nowhere. And to be truthful he has criticizms of the plan because it takes too long to balance the budget but that is a far cry from saying the plan itself is a joke.

My opinion, not Ryan's is: Trickle down is the greatest economic failure in our time. Communism works better than trickle down. Ryan is stupider than the dumbest Communist; and so are all who cannot learn from history. That includes you. Ryan's "budget" (yes quotes) is a rehashed failure: trickle down economics, which GW Bush's father called, correctly, "VOODOO ECONOMICS." Those who support trickle down aredoomed to run our country into the ground. The Real Joke: The joke is that Ryan hacked up like a giant mucus salive gob, which could never pass the Senate, or a bi-partisan house, or get a Presidential signature. Ryan is THE JOKER... It is partisan grandstanding, nothing more.

It is partisan grandstanding, nothing more. First place the gist of Ryan's plan is not about trickle down economics, correctly referred to as supply side economics, it is about balancing the budget. It is not an economic plan but a budget plan to deal with the ballooning national debt. He is after all the chairman of the Budget Committee. But since you brought it up that communism is better than trickle down let me point out a couple of things. Trickle down was championed by Ronald Reagan and you could see it at work in the 1980's in the United States as we pulled out of a recessionary inflationary spiral. Communism was championed by the likes of Stalin, how did that work out for them? I thought I remembered something about a falling Berlin wall and a break up of communist Russia. But we agree on one thing, I don't like the Ryan plan either, I like the Ron Paul plan, stop wars, stop giving money to other countries, cut back spending to 2006 levels and dump federal entire federal departments we don't and cut waste.

How is iyt that you are always wrong? Ryan has no "balanced budget." He has empty promises built on smoke. Where will he get his "savings" his "cuts?" He doesn't say. He has no cuts or savings in the budet, only future smoke and mirrors promises without foundation. His budget is little more than demogogical trickle down, and shame on you for swallowing. I'll do a "Ryan" for you. If you just believe me, all your children will have sunny wedding days, and it will rain from when you die until when you are burried. Just believe me. Furthermore. Something really good will happen to you Sunday. Or maybe Thursday, or maybe February. Just believe me. I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today. There, happy now? Vote for me, be happy now.

HA HA Ron Reagan. President Reagan's "trickle down prosperity" was not based on economic growth; but rather on borrowing from the future. ou've gone and proved my point. What is worse, living a grudging life, standing inline for basic products, producing shoddy goods; or eating our children;s future, living high on the hog? You referred to the other name for Reaganism's trickle-down, as supply-side economics. Well it failed. Just like Communism. Without borrowing from the future, trickle/supply is stupider than Communism, which at least pays its own dumpy, grey way. Driving a Hummer, and eating future scholarships and bridge maintenance money may seem glitzy, but is just conspicuous greedy stupidity. Reagan was a lout. I'd like to see my brand of Paulism: every state gets back a share from the Federal Budget equal to what it ensds in. End the massive welfare sucking of the "red states."

Read again, I never said it worked, just that it was not the Ryan Plan which I also never said worked, if he is right he will not balance the budget for 10 years we can't wait that long. What year does Obama and the democrats plan to balance the budget.

Anyone with common sence or even half a brain should be able to figure that out, but it seems that their those do not even have that.

What year does Obama and the democrats plan to balance the budget. You should ask, rather, why Newt and the "Contract with America" congress broke the budget. I'm sure that when the Great Bush Recession is in the rear-view mirror, that will be the quite appropriate discussion. Prsident Clinton did it; but Bush/Newt plunged us into a decade, maybe a score of bad years. Now, we are reluctant to end "trickle down"/"supply side" and restore the tax levels that produced prosperity.
