Venezuelans in South Florida lament Hugo Chavez's plans -- Sout...

Very sad to see. One would think Chavez has learned something from the hundreds of millions in history that have died unnatural deaths under communist rule. This man is the worst thing that has ever happened to Venezuela.

Give us your poor, your tired, your Venezuelans. They can float up or walk across.

There is something everyone is missing here, the 'Will of the Venezuelan People', the formula Majority Will = Democracy. Chávez was elected 3 times! he win 5 referendums! and in a few months it will be 6 referendums...

I hate to say "I told you so", but quess what - "I TOLD YOU SO!" Every time the Sun Sentinel wrote an article on Chavez I commented how dangerous this man IS and WILL BECOME unless he is stopped NOW! And yes, regardless of what you've been told, buying Citgo gas is supporting him! Sure we sell just about everything you can think of to the Venezuelan people, but gas (oil) is his baby!

Excellent point, Ross! The Venezuelans have said no to the 1-2% of rich robber barons who dominated the economy. So flap your gums all you can Venezuelans in South Florida! Try to outdo the Cuban gusanos who have complained about Fidel for nearly 50 years! Long live the Bolivarian Revolution! Viva Chavez! Viva Fidel! |
|
|
Are these people Americans or Venezuealans? If you consider yourself Venezuelan, then go back there and complain. If your American now, forget about Chavez. He is no longer your president.

I thought Sean Penn said this guy was cool.

Guess what folks, this man had a history and the people voted him into office. They got exactly what they wanted. Now please shut up and live with it. You think Cuba is bad, just wait!!!!
|

Ross, you forgot to mention that elections and referendums were all fixed by Smartmatic, Cuban G2 and Chavez.
Why they did not want to do it manually? Why there's more people register to vote than habitants in Venezuela?.

That's too funny. You fled YOUR COUNTRY so you can take up our space and use up our resources. Since you are obviously not an American and don't ever intend to be one, please return now. Take all of your "never want to be American" friends with you and throw in Sean Penn for good measure. It totally amazes me how "everyone hates America", but this is always the first place they flee to. |
|
To "Ivan C" and "Ross Wild"...
I forgot to mention, what are you doing in US if Chavez hates the "imperio" (empire)?. Or are you being paid to be here by his goverment? Spies maybe?. Friends of Antonini? If Venezuela is so good, what are you guys doing here?. I'm guessing you must be driving an "iran car" in South Beach...... No, I'M NOT CHAVISTA and I'M AN AMERICAN CITIZEN of the BEST, read it again, THE BEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. |
|
|
Venezuela got Chavez, just like this country picked George W. Bush twice.
We get the goverment we vote for. Look at who the Republican party has picked for their candidate, and who is campaigning now. If this country chooses another Bush type, then we deserve the fallout it may create, and Venezuelans deserve the mess their "elected" leader creates. Thing is, Americans aren't fleeing their country everytime a new leader is chosen, even when that leader does things the majority disagrees with. Besides, there is no better country in the world to go to, still. |
|
Yah, just wait until they finish locking you down here in the good old USA. Everyday it's a different law being signed to so call protect the American people. You better open your eyes to whats going on here. |
|
|
In the end it will prove the Venezuelians like all other Latinos can't govern themselves in a respectable manor. That is why Corruption rules. These cowards will not stand up and fight for their own country, just like in Cuba. But yet they will come hear and burn tires in the streets or block traffic in protest. They are getting what they deserve and voted for. Now quit complaining and step up to the plate if you want political change.

We prefer to go shopping and pray instead.Aint walmart great! |

With all the rich influential ones here Chavez can do what he wants.

The people of Venezuela need to stand up and fight - in their homeland. Stop running away like cowards. America is a great country because its people stood up to the British long ago when it mattered. We didn't go running to another country to piss and moan. But if you're going to be here, assimilate already - speak the english language, abide by our laws, and be a productive individual. We're getting tired of supporting lazy foreigners who let their countries be taken over by thugs.

This is what happens when you are a liberal and support liberal ideology- you end up being victim to a Marxist go cry in your soup Venezualans or get some cajones and go fight Chavez-or else you will become like the Cuban community in South Florida-whining about Castro, but not willing to fight for freedom. You are all part of the problem, Patriotism is not driving around with the Venezuelan flag attached to the rear view mirror of your car

YOU COME HERE AND BASH MY COUNTRY AND TALK ABOUT HOW GOOD IT WAS IN VENEZUELA. YOU MAY HATE OR LOVE BUSH, BUT THE ONE THING ALL AMERICANS HAVE IN COMMON IS WE DO NOT RUN!!!!!!!!! WE STAY AND FIGHT FOR WHAT WE BELIEVE IN. THE PEOPLE OF VENEZUELA, HAITI, MEXICO AND THE OTHER THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES NEED TO GO HOME AND TAKE BACK THEIR HOMES. IF YOU STAY HERE IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO LEARN ENGLISH AND BECOME AN AMERICAN CITIZEN LEGALLY.

I’m VERY TIRED of the US media’s criticism and bashing of other countries and governments.
We have more than enough corruption to talk about that needs fixing in our own backyard. Its like a broken record any country that won’t go along with US corporate interests gets continually bashed from the US media. |
