Truth is. An alarm system does not dial in for 60 seconds after the breach. Crooks know this. Cops take 20 to 30 minutes to respond or more. Cops get lost on the way to the house.

Starting from 20 feet away it takes 2 seconds to kill someone with a knife or a club.

If the guns are not loaded they are just clubs.

My guns are locked and loaded and in a finger print locked safe which bolted to the floor. My prints and my wifes prints are the only ones that will open the safe.

The safe cost me a little over $100.00.

If the TV add works and the bad guy runs away when the alarm screams, great, but when he doesn't you need a better fall back than 911.

Nothing wrong with her owning firearms. The problems is in the very poor judgement she used to store them. I don't care if there are children in the house or not. Morons like her that own firearms and treat them the way she does, give the responsible, law abiding gun owners a bad name.

What a bunch of moronic sheep. A gun is a tool just like a hammer. A hammer won't jump up and drive nails nor will it hit someone over the head. A person using a hammer has to do those things. Guns are Constitutionally protected for a reason. The fact is that Government gone wild (Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia, Communist Cambodia) kills millions. The threat is not homeowners with guns. Think about it Sheeple.

I agree that a rifle may not be as concealable/quick as a pistol, but at least she HAS a gun. Anyone that supports the right to keep and bear arms need to applaud this woman, and support her, even if she doesn't have the same taste as yourself. I am tired of the American populance trying to force their will on others. For every story of an innocent person being shot there's another story of an innocent person choosing not to become a victim by protecting themselves with ANY firearm. Americans: Stand up for your MOST IMPORTANT right it's the only right that can be used to protect the rest of your rights when all else fails!!!!!

If the fact she keeps guns locked under her bed scares liberals, I guess they would really get worked up knowing I conceal carry a 45 Glock (yep I went to the mall tonight and then went for ice-cream with my daughter - and she was very safe and secure). People you have to wake up, the dems will tell you it takes a village - If things continue the way they are, yes we all will back to living in villages - or government boarding houses. I commend Senator Gillibrand. My Cousin, Micheal Rubinek was murdered in South Africa by criminals armed with illegal AK-47 machine guns smuggled into Johannesburg from Comminist China. South Africa has very strict gun control. Much the same failed laws which gun control advocats want passed here in the USA. 98% of all violent crimes in South Africa are comitted with illegal guns. There were 12,000 homicides in South Africa. All these gun control laws acomplish is more defensless victims. The Senator and all of us here must oppose those who seek to disarm law abiding citizens. Well struck Jim from Sun Valley. You are the first person to catch my play on words. Of course the corect spelling, if I was a shot gun would be gauge; however guage is the Zulu word for the male member; hence Mr 12 Guage. My dance card is full this season, so any overtures from the Big Guy or is it Big Sky country, will be unrequited.Too many Obamites to debauch and so little time. I commend Mrs Gillibrand on exercising her rights. Every gun I own is loaded and ready to use. This of course is entirely up to me and how I store them or secure them in the privacy of my home is nobody's business. I am puzzled as to why this is even a story at all.

Exercise those 2nd amendment rights! To all the gun grabbers... get a clue, you are fighting based on emotion. We fight with facts, thats why you lose and why you will continue to lose.
The facts are out there, gun control doesn't work. Bet you two to one her kids know what guns are and are taught how to NOT handle them without an adult present.
