I think you're wrong about who sought him out. I think he was sought out by the Soros organization. They were looking for a clean looking image in someone who was well spoken. The rest would be marketing and money...Soros provided both. What Soros got was a man who is first of all short on detail…can’t manage crap and who is a lot on the lazy side. He doesn't like to dirty his hands with the mundane day to day details like the oil spill or an unacceptable unemployment rate. The unions are just one part of the Soros organization.

I would like to see Congress stay away from this issue. That body has screwed up enough for one year. We will all be better off if they decide to go on vacation until the November elections.

This will never happen. Politicians will never agree to lowering the amount of money they recieve. That is the reason they are politicians to start with, to recieve money. Why else would some of them spend millions of their own money to get paid 150k per year?

Actually, a combination of terrorist bombings, Syrian hegemony, and Israeli air attacks left it partly in ruins.
