I wish the article had been more clear about what the Senators policies were that ruffled feathers. I looked at his policies on the economy and saw that he did not like the stimulus bill because he only wanted a bill which provided stimulus for the problem instead do long term spending programs to grow the size of government.

Bunning will get his third term. Democrats don't want him, but they wouldn't vote for hin anyway. Republicans are for anyone who voted against the Congressional Recovery Action Plan, better known as CRAP

I like someone who doesn't mind being a 'fly in the ointment' or an old buggar as I like to call them...means they irritate people enough that they command attention and makes them listen. He was against the stimulus bill, that's good enough for me. 2010, let's hear it again!

There are a maximum of 9 possible democratic gains possible next year, and two to four Republican gains, if Democrats are dumb, and don't force Burris and Dodd to retire. Reid needs to mend his own fences, and keep nuclear waste out of Yucca mountain, while finding another - but not too porky - way to help his state. Help the ordinary homeowners, for example, who are "under water" with over-priced mortgages. Lots of us in other states would support that, since it would apply nationally and benefit other homeowners. But we would not look with favor at a light rail from California to gambling and vacation spots in Nevada. The best light rail would be something that would serve more ordinary daily commuters, and reduce need for wider or more highways, and particularly, that would protect areas that are under threat of being seized for highways by eminent domain in areas of historical importance, or great natural beauty. Not to mention, most of us want to block a Canada-Mexico super-super-highway, or expansion of existing n-s routes and Mexican truck traffic.

2 of my brothers live in Vegas, and Uncle Harry is on the endangered list. They don't care if the Republicans run a dead guy. They will prop him on a chair. He will be smarter, and more honest then Harry Reid. Uncle Harry has done much for himself, but little for Nevada.
