Maybe it's just me, but does anyone care in the least which of the candidates the Sentinel supports? I do my own research, and the opinions of a large corporation regarding which candidate is best could not matter less to me.

No it's not just you who thinks the Sentinel's endorsements are worthless. Here in Winter Park the editorial board is considered a big joke.
I'm praying they don't deviate from their stupidity and endorse McCain for President.

What a joke the Sentinel is. Keller? After all this? You've got to be kidding me. Grayson gets my vote. No contest.

It's not just you. Not by a long shot. If anything, people see who the Sentinel endorses to know who NOT to vote for. Keller? I'd vote for Donald Duck first. The Sentinel editorial team has lost its collective minds. If brains were gunpowder they couldn't blow their own noses. Vote for who YOU feel is the best candidate.

Why should anyone be surprised? The Sentinel also endorsed Keller's dishonorable acts in the primary against Todd Long.
There is no way I could vote for Keller's record-breaking deficits, cheeseburger bill, "lawnmower man" episode, and lying pledge for term limits. Keller is no fiscal conservative, not even close.
I am voting for Alan Grayson as the fiscal conservative alternative and for some of the other reasons the Sentinel so rudely insulted their readers' positions.
It is one thing for the Sentinel to make their choices (no matter how much others may disagree), but it is another thing entirely to add to the uncivilized discourse in this election with their childish references; therefore, I'll take their misguided endorsement as confirmation of my choice for our community:
Alan Grayson '08

This is a prime example of which people do not read the Orlando Sentinel...the stupidity and ignorance of its editorial board! I rather see my dog in office instead of these do-nothing Republicans (Keller - you gots to be kiddin!) Why don't you just close your printing offices and try doing something else with your hands -- possibly knitting? Can't be any worse at that this the newspaper business! Leave the editorials with someone with a brain!

The headline should read, "Sentinel thinks 3 Republican Stooges are best picks." Or, "Sentinel: We back GOP trifecta of incompetence and ideology." I know, I know -- Sam Zell and his buddies have zero influence on local editorial page. Sure, hahahaha. But not only do these endorsements reflect a status-quo, please-conservative-reader mentality that dominates the editorial page since Jane Healy's departure, the Zell-ordered redesign of the paper reduces what should be lengthy, thoughtful consideration of candidates to a paltry few paragraphs. The presentation in print and the logic behind the Sentinel's endorsement of these three failed Republican members of Congress epitomize the cowing of the media by the likes of Sarah Palin. Palin, who like Ginny Brown-Waite probably doesn't know that Puerto Ricans are U.S. citizens, should stop bashing big media and point out the Sentinel editorial page as an example of the media that mindless Republican lip-lickers such as herself can trust. Keller? Mica? Brown-Waite? These are candidates of shame and shallowness. Likewise for the newspaper and editorial board that endorse them.

I hope once and for all people will notice that the Sentinel has been endorsing Republicans. I haven't checked all their endorsements, but the ones I have checked recently have all been endorsements for Repubilcans. All this talk about theliberal Sentinel, yet they usually always endorse the Republican candidate in most cases, which doesnt' surprise me, since they are owned by the Tribune country a notoriously conservative newspaper. They've only endorsed one Democrat for President since 1964, and that was Kerry in 2004, so a Republican candidate has to be REALLY bad, for them not to endorse them.

Joe, you're absolutey right! And if you'd go back and read the Sentinel endorsement of Kerry, it was primarily an endorsement against Bush for betraying true conservative principales -- such as fiscal sanity. With the evisceration of Sentinel staff and current management, you can rest assured the newspaper will endorse McCain-Palin. It makes me ill. Someone alert Palin -- who was clueless about what magazines and newspapers she read -- to mark the Sentinel editorial page on her "favories" list.

I'll have what the Sentinel editorial board is having. The members are endorsing an incumbent who, by their own admission, is an underachiever, and another incumbent who implied Puerto Ricans are foreign citizens. I don't know what they've been smoking, but it sure sounds better than anything we had in the '60s.Talk about a bad trip.

Keller has turned into nothing but a career politician. He's had 6 years to get a VA hospital built in Orlando. Now where is it? Grayson gets my vote!

'Mr. Grayson's list of promises includes increasing Social Security and Medicare benefits, government-mandated vacations and sick leave for all working Americans'
Not mentioned here is the fact that the US is one of the few countries that doesn't mandate ANY vacation or sick time for workers. We're just supposed to thank our lucky stars that corporations such as Tribune give us anything. So saying Grayson advocates 'increasing' something that doesn't exist doesn't make much sense.

Gov't vacations? That's fiscally conservative? Gov't healhcare? He's an Obama wannabe. Say "fairness" and he means tax increases. Say "affordable health care" and he means madnatory gov't clinics. Gator, you've been saying this turd is a fiscal conservative. Even the Slantinel has to laugh. Have the guts to call Grayson what he is: a socialist. Why won't you say it, chicken?

Pick someone who doesn't hate America as badly as you do, and they might win an endorsement.
