Here's a clue, they didn't get it peddling drugs in their neighborhood, or shooting craps on the corner. They worked hard at school, they worked hard at college, got jobs, worked hard again. Obama says he knows people who work hard. Doing what? They didn't get an education. They have very little ambition, and they are perfectly happy working the Government freebie scams. They have several jobs in their lifetime because they are perfectly happy just having enough for their booze, and cigarettes Please post your real name so us liberals can thank you for enlightening us all...MORON

Romney can settle this issue at any time, by releasing his tax returns for the past decade. C'mon Romney, show the American people how you hid all your money in offshore accounts and overseas tax havens just to avoid paying your fair share of taxes. Then tell us again why the rich deserve a MASSIVE $200,000+ tax break while your plan raises taxes on the poor & middle class by $2000. C'mon Romney, man up.

What are the line item criteria standards you are using ? I said quality " only " your statement is a total of the whole system which isn't what I pointed out. I stand by my quality claim. Can you be more specific? What exactly is 'quality of care'? and how is it quantified?

Quality is attention to detail such as thorough diagnostics and moving the patient up the line to skilled professionals as challenges and situations arise. If you are dissatisfied being in one hospital one can frquently asked to be moved to another and it will happen. For instance we have levels of county , regular private ,religion supported and specialty here in Metro Phx. At the high end would be the Mayo Clinic , Barrows Neurological and Phoenix Childrens . We have 4-5 Christian religion supported which includes one in association with Barrows. The county hospital is the lowest rated .

I guess I was looking at different benchmarks in comparison to other industrialized countries. I do believe we have a 'good' healthcare system, but not the best. A part of the problem that does bring down the US score compared to other countries is accessibility and affordability. With the percentage of the population that is uninsured/underinsured brings our score down. http://www.commonwealthfund.org/Publications/...

With the percentage of the population that is uninsured/underinsured brings our score down. http://www.commonwealthfund.org/Publications/... The U.S. system provides default hospital emergency insurance for those without any other coverage . If the uninsured show up at the emergency room the are still treated. The costs are covered by the hospitals jacking up the prices of those who are insured whether privately or through the various gov't programs. Those who are covered get very high quality insurance . Canada covers everyone but the " Wait time " for treatment is exceedingly long. Canadian border cities routinely send patients to nearby American hospitals because of better or more state of art diagnostic equipment and much , much shorter wait times. So a walk non-covered at an American emergency will get as good or better than a Canadian walkin. Universal coverage is universal coverage and not directly related to " In hospital quality ".

So if you have slaves that their last master starved and now they are well fed and they check the satisfied block as opposed to a group of free people who are completely responsible for themselves and are disastified due to lack of food choice, it proves slavery is better, right? There is a reason they use objective criteria as opposed to subjective criteria. Americans are spoon fed all the time that we are the greatest. What other expectation would you have for a system that serves the world's greatest?

Psst, elections are decided by votes, specifically the number of electoral votes a candidate receives, NOT by their approval rating. But since you insist on going there, Obama STILL has a higher approval rating than Romney.

You said it correctly...EMERGENCY care. Many of the uninsured will most be unable to afford preventive care or care before it becomes an emergency much of the time. There are other industrialized countries with different types of healthcare besides Canada. We are not rated the best overall, we are good or very good...that is all I am saying.

Everybody knows the " SYSTEM " must be fixed not the " QUALITY " as a whole bunch of LEFTIES on here claim. Obama down grades MediCare to shore up ObamaCare and that's supposed to be a FIX ? The wait is also long in the U.K with many crossing the Channel for faster attention.
