A Paul third party would hurt Obama the most.
Especially considering how popular Paul and his supporters are within the GOP.

Lets see if the link gets edited again...Most jews that I know agree with Isreal and Ron Paul on the foreign policy the US should take. I believe it is a small handful that want to show opposition to Paul. Most of them - like most of the rest of the population are just unaware.
Nice link, Lorax.
Israel his serious internal disputes over their policies with their neighbors. The people continue to vote in peace candidates and they are usually thrown before they start over some rule.
Its hard to find in the US media but as you see its out there if one works at it.
Seeking truth is humbling, Americans dont usually go for that

Well, NC just passed a ban on same sex marriage into their constitution. It also doesn't recognize civil unions from other states.
Now then, aren't there more important things to worry about? I mean, seriously. I'm a straight 58 yr old male who's been married for way too long and I could care less who marries whom.
Why on earth are republicans in NC concentrating on this issue. Why is this an issue in the first place? Why is the government involved in what is supposed to be a religious ceremony?
I'm friggin lost on this issue. How is it affecting the job market, the economy, the gas prices, the educational system or the healthcare system?
What is wrong with you people? Get over what jane and janet do in the bedroom and work on other more important issues affecting our country.
I swear the minute you dip past DC into the southern states the IQ must drop 50 points.
If the SCOTUS decides to follow the Constitution -the not recognizing unions from other states is a direct conflict to the contract clause - a fundamental building block of the Republic. If that stands the precedent affecting contracts could be catastrophic. Legislating morality is a dangerous and destructive practice.

I can understand Local Boys point of not wanting other states to dictate the NC legislature and it's constituents. However let's be realistic, who cares who marries who?
In real good news RINO Lugar gets defeated after 36 frustrating years. Lugar said of his opponent "He has pledged his support to groups whose prime mission is to cleanse the Republican party of those who stray from orthodoxy as they see it,"
"This is not conducive to problem solving and governance. And he will find that unless he modifies his approach, he will achieve little as a legislator. Worse, he will help delay solutions that are totally beyond the capacity of partisan majorities to achieve," said Lugar
In other words flip flopping on issues to "get things done" approach to governance. I don't think so buddy.
Lugars record is a disgrace to the word conservative. buh bye!

Yes this would split the conservative base giving the election to Obama easily. I hope Ron Paul runs Third Party.

He won't because the Libertarians have already elected there candidates for this election. Unless he would run as a Independent. That would be neat.

CnP - I was not offering an excuse, just my view of why they do stupid things like this. It is preemptive move against a federal law.
Lorax has a good point that the addition of civil unions is their achilles.

Nuance om the Lugar thing - The replacement is no better, claims to be Tea party.......whatever that means.

On the other hand, the government attaches benefits to marriage that they deny to others.

I would like to see a State take the position that all benefits would be erased from marriage.
End the entire debate - without effecting the church

I like Ron Paul and think he is hilarious. Was watching Maddow slap his son around on her show one night. It was funny he looked like a deer in the headlights. She made him look like a goof ball.

YES, finally someone agrees with me. I knew you would get it. The government has no business in what has traditionally been a religious ceremony anyway. However now that the admin has come out in favor of same sex "marriage" the religious right has seen this as an attack on their way of life.(notice the keyword marriage which is more irksome than civil unions) Either way I guess they don't want to explain reality to little johnny as to why their neighbor Joe and Jim are having a wedding.(completely decorated in purple and pink with a huge wedding cake, and 2 little male figurines on top lol)

and you're correct, the Lugar replacement might just be saving face for now to placate the tea party folks.

ahh politics. I wonder how Mitt will react.(now that's a gamble)

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Sagittarius

You're wearing rose-tinted glasses today, especially when you look at some of the special people in your life. Right now you only want to see their good points and you'll deliberately turn a blind eye to any faults that might be on show. If you can escape from the real world for a day with you-know-who you'll have a marvelously romantic and emotional time together. But do your best to come back to earth tomorrow.
