It was a frigging closed door session, that no doubt had all sorts of promises...maybe even a night in the Lincoln bedroom.

About 70% of Americans want a public option. So many are tiered of being ripped off, paying outrageous medical bills .. or not being able to pay at all.

I dont know what poll you were looking at but THIS bill is compulsory, they will put you in prison if you dont want to participate is that what you call an "option"?

I presume you meant to say tired instead of tiered. But that is beside the point. Maybe 70% want a public option due to falacious belief that governmnent will take care of everything for them from cradle to grave. But......a sizeable number have wanted single pay option and Congress has turned a deaf ear to that. The more that government can mandate things the better for those in power.
My question for you though is have you bothered to read any of the various iterations of the Senate or House bills that have been cobbled together? I have, and all of them are abominations. Every one of them has been ladened with pork. Amazing what you can cram in a 2000+page bill which even the legislators haven't read in its entirety. But, for me, the most damning things are the lies that 'it won't cost the taxpayer a dime'- Obama, and idea of fines or imprisonment for anyone who doesn't sign on. CBO figures have countless times shown that the numbers don't add up. That, and the stealth move to cover illegals. Don't think for a moment that Pelosi, Reid and Obama aren't banking on winning the votes of that group and their relatives.

To President Obama and all 535 voting members of the Legislature,

It is now official you are ALL corrupt morons:
*The U.S. Post Service was established in 1775 You have had 234 years to get it right and it is broke.
*Social Security was established in 1935. You have had 74 years to get it right and it is broke.
*Fannie Mae was established in 1938. You have had 71 years to get it right and it is broke.
*War on Poverty started in 1964. You have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor" and they only want more.
*Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965.. You have had 44 years to get it right and they are broke.
*Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 39 years to get it right and it is broke.
*The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before. You had 32 years to get it right and it is an abysmal failure.

You have FAILED in every "government service" you have shoved down our throats while overspending our tax dollars AND YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM??

Did you see a link? I believe that she is making it up as I have seen the complete opposite! Only 70% of the Democrats want it, but not Republicans nor Independents!

Don't have a link Torch. But I am watching C Span as the voting evolves. I think the only sentient journal reporting any of this is the WSJ. The Post and Times are salivating over passage.
And good old Nancy looks like a deer caught in the headlights.
I hope the bill dies, for the sake of our country and constitution.
