So what if innocent people bite the dust? Wow. Spoken like a true commie/Democrat.

You are being facetious, aren't you?

The only "Democrats" who have favored the death penalty were those who are now Republicans.

Anybody paying attention knows the two parties changed their positions after Johnson passed the Civil Rights legislation.

Those in the South who used to be "Democrats" (the Dixiecrats) are now Republicans.

Those in the South who used to be "Republicans" are now horrified by the very idea of being associated with the riffraff Karl Rove dragged out of beer joints and gun shows.*

Those former Republicans are now more likely to be Independents, but some are now Democrats.

* "My theme is the intellectual decline of conservatism, and it is notable that the policies of the new conservatism are powered largely by emotion and religion and have for the most part weak intellectual groundings. That the policies are weak in conception, have largely failed in execution, and are political flops is therefore unsurprising …

"By the fall of 2008, the face of the Republican Party had become Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber.

"Conservative intellectuals had no party.”

Attention Talking Out Your Butt!!! You lowlife democRats like to rewrite history but you and your democRat ilk own the legacy of slavery, Jim Crow, lynching, etc. to this second and forever.
Your dixiecrat sht is another ridiculous excuse to white wash your party history. Your Johnson Civil Rights crap doesn’t fly because Republican votes passed the bill when democRats like algore’s father would not vote for it…you libelous snot nosed twit.
In fact slugo, democRats enacted laws that denied “freed slaves” their right to bear arms. One would assume today's democRat Party would learn something from their long list of past discriminations but no. Today's democRat Party tried to deny blacks living in public housing and fear their right to own firearms to defend themselves against criminal attack. Thanks to the NRA blacks now can protect themselves and their families should they desire to own a firearm. Your beloved democRats had to eat the demented sht they tried to sell to the public.
I strongly suggest a holier than thou punk like you spend your time researching history, perhaps you’ll learn something other than how to be a lying jackass. Hop to it.

Not much of a Palin fan myself, but I happen to agree with you on McGinnis. What kind of a nut job/failed writer rents a home in the vicinity of the person he is writing a (supposed) unauthorized biography on? Answer: a left-wing nut job/failed writer.

Troy Davis is guilty of murdering a police officer by shooting him in the face. The penalty provides that the State of Georgia execute him. Failure to carry out that sentence will deny Justice to his family and our society.

Too many African Americans are willing to use "jury nullification" and changing their witness testimony to help a fellow black man. Very sad.

What is wrong with the death penalty: it is not used enough!

Example: The Manson Murderers. Write California and ask how much it has cost to house these animals since they were found guilty of butchering the Tate 8. You are looking at millions. For what?
So Susan Atkins could ask for "compassionate release" when she was terminally ill?

Yeah, when you know the defendant has murdered people and it is tossed around, they get prison. They viciously murdered these people, with no remorse. Why should any murderer have the luxury of staying alive. One bullet, that's all it takes. With them in prison, the family suffers every freakin' moment, knowing their loved ones are dead and their murderers are alive! How can this judge and the lawyers sleep at nite I wonder? Yes, the death penalty should carry out it's name and obligation to the remaining survivors.

<quoted text>Wrong Horse Breath!! The state executes a murderer on the behalf of the victim. You dumbbell liberals treat murderers like a lonely mutt you found at the dog pound. Get over it and face facts.
It is the duty of every American to Protect and Defend their rights and life. If someone is intent on murder then they are intent on stripping you of all your rights, liberty and life. So in a nutshell you have the right to use deadly force against anyone who attempts to murder you. The law protects those defending themselves providing they acted within the law.
The death penalty is an extension of the right an individual has to save his/her own life, etc. The death penalty amounts to what a deceased individual or the absence of a police officer was unable to do during the course of a violent crime. In other words, if you commit murder you are going to die one way or another…capice?
I guess you watch too much the fixnews network, but I know of many cases, too long to list here, in which the victims claim for mercy and the courts, all courts, state and federal, all the way to the supreme farce and they all said: No way Jose! and of course, one case, once in a blue moon, doesn't imply justice, but just a bump on the road to injustice galore. Justice, tea partier dumb nuts, is supposed to redeem, nor eternal vengeance. Don't you know that the first thing that people like you claim about America is how "Christian" we are and this coming from a Guy Who said: Love thy enemy and turn the other cheek makes as mockery of this thing you are trying to sell as justice. Let's see what happens when you are on the receiving end. Something tells me that you are not only a slogan peddler, but racist to the core. In other words, a tea partier.

Yeah, ya always read about a man spent 20 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit. That was then, this is now. Now we can swab your mouth and get your DNA, easy. Exactly, with the court system and the evidence to back the case up, why is an innocent man going to the slammer? If the death penalty was enforced the way it was set up, believe me crimes would be down. Maybe the prisons would no longer be needed. So, why isn't this happening...all about power and greed. You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours, this expression is being used everywhere now. Freakin' unbelievable!

You people that come to these forums and talk politics crack me up. Is there a one of you in the bunch that understands politics? Can there really be this many empty headed school drop-outs in one place? You phqng imbeciles argue back and forth about "My party is better than your party" and all of you on both sides are brain dead little puppets that get your thought patterns from a spinning wheel and pant less talking head puppet master on TV and radio. You pitiable pathetic phqng robots. I wish they'd execute all of you that way all the imbeciles would be gone and we probably wouldn't need any government at all.!

Well, someone didn't get there milk and cookies this morning, did they? Talk about conceit, you are are one huge orb on that note. So, instead of putting us down who are voicing our opoinions. our god-given right and one of our last freedoms, WHY don't you just go and sit on you state rep's lap and discuss YOUR opinion and beliefs? Instead of coming on these forums and bashing folks who give a damn. YOU could be our leader, WoW! maybe NOT, because the way you just displayed your actions, you are NO BETTER then who's in charge now....search and destroy concept attitude. So, now run along, it's recess, time to play on the swing set alone. ROCK ON!

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Scorpio

You're in a very romantic and sentimental state today. You're also feeling quite sensitive and vulnerable, so you won't want to be around anyone you find abrasive or aggressive. If you meet someone for the first time now you'll think they're wonderful and your relationship will always involve putting them on a pedestal. But don't be too idealistic. They are human, remember!
