PULEASE.....Wouldnt be privatizing it if the staff werent so damn lazy. Hard to run a prison when staff wont go to work, always calling in sick, etc, and the unions are fighting for the right to NOT WORK.
I myself hate privatization, but I do understand why things are going that way. MONEY...cant keep throwing good money into a endless pit.
As long as privatization can do it much cheaper, the Gov will privatize. Gov workers get up off their azz, come to work, do a full 8, then hit the gate, it wouldnt privatize.

These Hard working employees have worked 8 long hours, most don't get to hit the gate. They are locked in with the inmates for 12 hour days.

Please let the SWEET GOV.OF La.have the SAME SALARY as what we DO get paid for...get locked up with the INMATES ..FOR 12 HOURS OR + HOURS LONGER;AND go home,and see what he thinks of how is day went.Make sure he gets the same pay that we do and still manage to pay for the high COST OF LIVING THAT WE TOO HAVE TO JUGGLE AROUND.Please pray for the ones that will PULL THE RUG FROM UNDER YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES IN A HEART BEAT!Once this selfish Gov.;has walked in the La. security officiers shoes ;after 12/or/more hours a day ....wandering if he/she has a JOB /HOME / OR//GAS MONEY//GROCERIES//INSURANCE//O R ANYTHING LEFT.////THAN MAYBE HE MAY CAN OPEN HIS EYES! The only money going to be saved by this action is employee pay! D O C is still going to have to pay the going rate to house and maintain prisoners !!! This is one time money that Jindle is going to make off this deal!!!! It's prisons today! Tomorrow it could be where you work when the same shortfall occurs again next year in the states budget! if a private corp buys the prisons, look behind them to find out who really controls the corp. it is must probably the fed gov. who will use the prisons for confining the people of the u.s.

This is a no brainer. Jindal was elected by the citizens of Louisiana therefore the "employee". He is supposed to listen to the people, and not do what he wants. He's not supposed to represent special interest. Politicians tell the biggest most pathetic lies and tales when campaigning, then once in office, they could care less about the voters. Those idiots in Washington have by majority become millionaires while the rest of us work our butts off just to make a decent living.
