How do we know that all those weapons and ammunition found their way into the Mexican drug cartels' arsenals and not into this new 'civilian national security force's arsenal

Why isn't the Congress asking the right questions and looking into the right places on the issue of being born in Kenya was a statement from the US President himself?

Why is the current president using 'Executive Powers' to circumvent the US Constitution and not one person in Congress is looking into it?

What's the big deal wanting to ban the confederate flag anyway? I mean you're practically screaming the words slavery & racism. There was slavery in the bible too but walk in to any chain bookstore & you'll find enough copies to give 2 to every member of a congregation. There's more to the bible than slavery & there's more to the confederate flag too! Why not buy a hammer & go bust up all the black & white tv sets still out there in stores. If memory serves, those types of tv's were airing MLK's assassination so they must be destroyed too! And don't stop there, blow up every boat you see cause boats transported slaves!

Good point! But that's the anti-South position. Destroy Southern history, it's culture, and it's people and everything will be alright. Make way for the 'new world revolution of the oppressed'. That's saying a revolution only has one edge to the sword.

Slavery was an institution practiced throughout the world and was not unique to the United States. Some nations had not banned the practice until 2003, and several African countries still practice it even though a slave there can be freed for the price of $10 US Dollars.

The Confederacy was not about slavery, but for States Rights. Matter of fact, it was the Confederacy that fought to maintain the US Constitution's limits of the federal government. The Confederacy offered to eliminate slavery for the exchange of being recognized as an independent Nation, and the Union offered to pass a Constitutional amendment forever preserving the institution of slavery if they would only return to the Union.

Other facts to consider:
Slavery lasted in the Union 6 months longer than it did in the Confederacy.

Union General Grant and Mary Todd Lincoln owned slaves. Confederate general Lee did not.

If you are referring to the Mayan calendar, it actually ended December 23, 2011. It starts afresh on December 21, 2012.

We did until some science guy dug up a Mayan calender that goes past November 21, 2012, when all the planets align. What a bummer-that event was going to be my excuse to go out in a blaze of glory.
