Yes, Americans do remember 911 and who's watch it happened on and the war in Iraq for no reason and failure to capture Bin Ladin. That will come up how Obama has protected the homeland and captured Bin Ladin which is why Romney stays away from that topic.

Keep in mind, I am not a Republican or Democrat and have nothing to gain or lose no matter who is elected. I am an Independent who is watching this race but not voting for either party.

Republicans will stay away from this topic since the bad happened on their watches and the good happened on Obama's.

Republicans are in a mess. Condi Rice is the woman who should be running but she is waiting until 2016 and I will vote for a Republican then. She will be viewed as the best of this century after two terms. Romney want her on his ticket but then he realized her plans for four years out and did not want to go up against her.

Condi is a moderate Republican, intellectual and perhaps the smartest of any known politician out there so far. She will win nearly every State. Her speech at Republican convention will give Romney short term points. She is the best he has at the convention and she is NOT mixed up in the Tea Party. The Tea Party is what Romney will avoid since good people but they cater only to extreme right wing which the nation is not.

It's my opinion that most voters want the best for America but simply have different ideas of how to make it happen. There is no group of voters out there voting to destroy the nation so to hear otherwise is propaganda from a radio or TV show. Those things sell ads and make money.

I wish the hate between the liberals and extreme conservatives would stop. That harms the nation. It divides it. They both love the nation and have more in common than they think. Name calling means desperation on each side.

I’ve read a lot of posts on this thread and have noticed that due to topic it has more Republicans or even extreme right wing which is okay. I’d like to see a few Democrats in a more Republican thread to get ideas from them too and of course, would love to hear from other Independents but we Independents are the small minority and cannot even get someone in a serious campaign let along get one elected.

I want everyone to know that I appreciate all posts that are not personal attacks. There was one fine post that responded to my post about Hillary going on the ticket. He gave a really logical and good reason for that to not happen because there is risk with that even though she holds a 67% public opinion rating in favor. She is a popular woman and I suggest Republicans not under estimate her but that is up to them. Do not under estimate Oprah either because she will be campaigning for Obama going to States near Election Day that are very close. She happens to be extremely popular with women and moderates as well as liberals and some Republicans too.

If I were a Republican (I am independent not voting for either party this year), I would organize a way of talking to all Americans rather than just red States because this is the United States of America. If I were Romney, I would know, I will get most votes from people who dislike Obama so those are in the bag. I would then start campaigning to get the female vote where he is losing and the minority votes because you add all minority groups together and you have the majority of voters. He does not seem to understand that. He needs black and Hispanic majority to win this election.

The person who gets the most black, Hispanic and female votes wins. Obama has those in his bag so the job is to downplay fringe groups like the Tea Party and stay away from Palin which so far, Romney is doing. He knows association with the Tea Party will cause him loss of moderate Republican votes that he needs. Tea Party is not moderate. Great people am sure but not moderate. It would be like associating with the Socialist party on the left wing which Obama is not going to do.

Keep in mind; if you read our constitution, it is somewhat socialistic.“The government shall protect, defend and provide for the basic welfare of the people”. That is what it says.

Do not fall for lies like Obamacare can be reversed because it cannot now. It can have some changes made but it is set in stone like “social” Security. Deal with it and understand that fact. Republicans fell for Obama trap by pushing it into USSC forgetting he was a Constitutional lawyer and teacher of constitution. He played dumb on the matter knowing to have it forced into USSC would seal the deal and be in favor of him for Election at same time.

Know Obama and not lies or propaganda about him. He was born in the States and is not Muslim but he might want you to think otherwise so you mess up.

Obama likes to play underdog and catch a person at the last minute with a total knock out.

Remember, the Clinton’s were powerful and in control of the Democratic Party as Bush is in control of the Republican Party until another Republican President. Obama beat the Clinton power machine and they can dig up any dirt in a background. He then went on the beat the entire Republican Party in a coy way. You are up against one of the most powerful politicians since Reagan and do not know it.

Again, I do enjoy all posts that are not personal attacks. I love to read logical Republican posts that make sense as well as the Democratic posts since I enjoy posting with smart people. I learn things this way.

I must ignore most personal attacks and I do not rate posts either way. Too lazy for that lol
