“I am very grateful to be the governor of Tennessee,” said Haslam as the meeting came to a close.“And I'm very humbled to be your county mayor,” Potter added.
Larry you were elected by the people of Johnson County as their county mayor not by the governor. I guess you feel you serve Haslam not us.

By saying "The people" is the same as saying 28% or 1560 which was the majority of the votes cast by people of Johnson County. From rumors I hear I think we may have been better off with Scott Teague.

You posted "He got just 28% of the vote." so I thought you knew 28% equaled 1650 votes. Understand now? Election results from 2010 Johnson County Mayor race: 12 of 12 precincts reporting (100%) Larry Potter 1,560 28%(X) Jerry Jordan 1,511 28% Scott Teague 829 15% Kenneth McQueen 591 11% Kevin Parsons 344 6% David Pleasant 347 6% Donald Snyder 177 3% Ronnie Perkins 33 1% Ray Allen 44 1% Paul Gobble 57 1%

No. *_I_* know how many votes he got (1560, not 1650). It's whatever point YOU are trying to make that I don't understand. MY point is that, when 72% of "the people" vote against you but you still "win", it is a lie to say "the people elected you".

INFORMED wrote: Do you dislike him because he tried to keep the Ten Commandments in the COURT hOUSE? Awww jeez, ANOTHER example of 5th percentile reading comprehension. I never said that I dislike him. I said he was elected by a small portion of the voters and that the overwhelming majority of the voters voted against him. And he had nothing to do with Ten C's except that he may have helped convince the Fifteen Dwarfs (I mean commissioners) that they were going to lose the court case and should settle.

IKHW knows all about what Larry, Scott and the commissioners did.
