Absolutely unfair. They were both fine officers who did their jobs well. This was nothing more than a payback for Pace standing up to the egos of the brass as President of the Union, even though what he did deserved some punishment, a suspension for a period. Kolt was collateral damage. Both served the badge well and deserved better.

I agree with taxpayer. These two served their community well as officers, as leaders of the Union and as volunteers in the community. The city lost 2 good ones here. Best of luck to the both of them in their future endeavors. The City's loss is definitely someone else's gain. And with the leadership that is in place now, the city is going to need all the luck they can get.

What a amazing story. Ted Czech.....your the best. Officers retire and resign all the time, where are their stories. Could it be because these 2 were well respected and powerful leaders of the police union that you try to make a story out of nothing. Kolt was a well respected leader in the dept. and Pace was a 2nd term president of the FOP. Good luck to them both, they are far better off away from that sinking ship. Maybe they were smart enough to see the writing on the wall. The entire city is about to go under, hopefully the other good ones get out before it does.

Officer Tim Lawson and Officer Ben Eaken also resigned in the month of September, where is their story?

Obviously these two so-called fine officers did something unlawful. Why else was an investigation being conducted. If things were on the up and up, why did they not let the wheels of justice run their course. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Hey taxpayer, you must be as big a douchebag as these two thieves were! If ya knew either one of em' you'd realize they were lazy,'do nothing' pieces of crap! They should both have to repay the citizens of York for the past 16 and 19 years of stealing from them too!

They should join the folks in Bell California, where the Police Chief was being paid 450,000 and I think the Mayor 800,000. Arrest them, take their pensions and Medical benefits and throw them in Jail. I would susspect that 50% of every tax $, Fed., State, Local is going for fraud, while the poor taxaper works at McDonalds to pay for the fraud. America home of the free, land of the brave used to talk about corruption in Bolivia, Iraq, Iran, it is probably worse here than any place in the world. Does any one know did they charged their condoms to the tax payers.

Obviously these two people had disciplinary measures coming to them. Why would anyone quit 1 year before they would be able to obtain their medical benefits? This sounds fishy and the taxpayers should be informed!

No doubt this is the same Bob Pace that everyone made their sports bets with years ago. I didnt realize being a bookie was a civil service position.

Its real simple - retire/resign before charges are brought - you keep your pension! And the city adnibistration let them do this - next up.....arrest and then ARD....

Funny, I always though cops put thieves and bookies in jail. I guess that is only if you are not a cop yourself. Then you get to retire with your pension. I also always thought it was the job of the press to hold public servants accountable.

Really everybody!?? How about we go to their houses, just put them on a cross and nail them to it! While his wife and children watch!? Those of us who do care about both of them unconditionally, could give a rats ass about what YOU THINK YOU KNOW! Who cares, its over, move on!! GET A LIFE!
